Daarnaast zorgt de Belgische musicalzangeres Oonagh Jacobs eveneens voor het nodige muzikale entertainment. Iedereen is alvast van harte welkom. De toegang is gratis. The Kick-off is the official start of the European Music Festival for Young People in Neerpelt. By singing the festival song Sing this song, 200 pupils of Neerpelts elementary schools will welcome the many international participants to enjoy a sparkling musical show. The Belgian musical singer Oonagh Jacobs also provides some musical entertainment. You are all very welcome. Free admittance. 26

2 VRIJDAG 28 APRIL 2017 FRIDAY APRIL 28, uur Openingsfeest A Taste of Neerpelt Kerkplein, Neerpelt Ook dit jaar zorgt het EMJ, in samenwerking met plaatselijke traiteurs, handelaars, verenigingen, culturele partners en het gemeentebestuur van Neerpelt voor topcatering. Daarnaast mag het publiek zich verwachten aan een compleet totaalspektakel. Naast het smullen van allerlei lekkernijen, hapjes en drankjes, kunnen de aanwezigen ook genieten van sfeervolle muziek verzorgd door onder andere de bands Brassbox, Duplicate en Lema. Om uur, vóór het laatste optreden, wordt naar jaarlijkse traditie het Festival opgevrolijkt met een spectaculaire vuurwerkshow, eveneens begeleid door meeslepende muziek. Kortom, we kijken er alvast naar uit jullie allemaal te kunnen verwelkomen! De toegang is ook hier gratis. The Happening 2017 guarantees an evening concert full of notes, a mix of rhythms, magic moments and enchanting melodies. This Happening is a must in order to understand what this festival is about: making music, friendship, fraternization, fun and so much more. Seven participating ensembles, together with Richard Filz, (an Austrian drummer/author/composer), will warm your heart and make it skip a heartbeat or two.
