2 Beperkte garantie Volgens de voorwaarden van deze Beperkte Garantie garandeert Sony Mobile Communications AB, Lund, Zweden, ('Sony Mobile') of de van toepassing zijnde lokale partner dat dit product vrij is van defecten wat betreft ontwerp, materiaal en fabricage op het tijdstip van de oorspronkelijke aankoop door een consument en voor een daarop volgende periode van een (1) jaar ('Garantieperiode'). Als u gebruik wilt maken van de garantieservice, moet u het Product terugbrengen naar de verkoper waar u het hebt gekocht, of contact opnemen met uw plaatselijke Sony Mobile Contact Center (landelijke tarieven kunnen van toepassing zijn) of bezoeken. WAT WIJ VOOR U DOEN Als tijdens de garantieperiode dit Product niet langer werkt bij normaal gebruik en onderhoud, als gevolg van defecten in materialen of fabricage, zullen de door Sony Mobile geautoriseerde distributeurs of servicepartners naar eigen goeddunken het Product repareren of vervangen overeenkomstig de hierin genoemde voorwaarden. Sony Mobile en diens servicepartners behouden zich het recht voor administratiekosten in rekening te brengen als een geretourneerd Product niet onder de garantie valt volgens onderstaande voorwaarden. Houd er rekening mee dat sommige van uw persoonlijke instellingen, downloads en andere informatie verloren kunnen gaan als uw Sony Mobile Product wordt gerepareerd of vervangen. Sony Mobile kan door de van toepassing zijnde wetgeving, andere regels of technische beperkingen, mogelijk niet in staat zijn een back-up van bepaalde downloads te maken. Sony Mobile aanvaardt geen aansprakelijkheid voor enige verloren of beschadigde informatie van enige soort en vergoedt u niet voor een dergelijk verlies. U moet altijd back-ups maken van alle informatie die is opgeslagen op uw Sony Mobile Product zoals downloads, agenda en contacten voordat u uw Sony Mobile Product inlevert voor reparatie of vervanging. 2 Dit is een internetversie van deze publicatie. 3 VOORWAARDEN 1. De garantie is uitsluitend geldig als de oorspronkelijke koopbon die door de verkoper aan de oorspronkelijke koper is afgegeven en waarop de aankoopdatum is vermeld, samen met het Product ter reparatie of vervanging wordt ingeleverd. Sony Mobile behoudt zich het recht voor om garantieservice te weigeren als deze informatie is verwijderd of gewijzigd na de oorspronkelijke aankoopdatum van het Product. 2. Als Sony Mobile het Product repareert of vervangt, heeft het gerepareerde of vervangen Product een garantie voor de resterende tijd van de oorspronkelijke garantieperiode gedurende negentig (90) dagen vanaf de datum van reparatie of vervanging, afhankelijk welke langer is. Voor de duidelijkheid: elke software-update of upgrade die via internet wordt geleverd door Sony Mobile of diens onderhoudspartners leidt niet tot een verlenging van de oorspronkelijke Garantieperiode. Bij reparatie of vervanging kunnen er herstelde eenheden of onderdelen gebruikt worden die dezelfde functie vervullen. Vervangen onderdelen of componenten worden het eigendom van Sony Mobile en worden niet aan u teruggegeven. 3. Deze garantie dekt geen storing van het product als gevolg van normale slijtage, of als gevolg van misbruik, inclusief maar niet beperkt tot het gebruik op een andere dan de normale en gebruikelijke manier, overeenkomstig de gebruiksaanwijzing en onderhoudsinstructies van het Product. Noch dekt deze garantie enige storing van het Product als gevolg van ongelukken, modificaties of aanpassingen, natuurrampen of schade als gevolg van vloeistoffen. Een oplaadbare batterij kan meer dan honderd keer worden opgeladen en ontladen. Uiteindelijk zal de batterij echter slijten. Dit is geen defect en valt daarom niet onder de garantie maar is normale slijtage. Als de spreektijd of stand-by tijd merkbaar korter is, wordt het tijd om de batterij te verplaatsen. Sony Mobile raadt aan om alleen batterijen en laders te gebruiken die door Sony Mobile zijn goedgekeurd. De helderheid en kleuren van het display kunnen per telefoon iets verschillen. 4 puntjes bevatten. Dit zijn defecte pixels die kunnen optreden als individuele puntjes slecht functioneren en niet kunnen worden aangepast. Twee defecte pixels zijn acceptabel en vallen daarom niet onder de garantie. Het camerabeeld kan per telefoon iets verschillen. Dit is niet ongebruikelijk en het wordt niet beschouwd als een defecte camera en valt daarom niet onder de garantie. 4. Omdat het mobiele systeem waarmee het Product wordt bestuurd, geleverd wordt door een onafhankelijke aanbieder, is Sony Mobile niet verantwoordelijk voor de werking, beschikbaarheid, dekking, diensten of bereik van dat systeem. 5. Deze garantie dekt geen productstoringen als gevolg van onjuiste reparaties, installaties, modificaties of diensten geleverd door een niet door Sony Mobile geautoriseerd persoon. 6. Deze garantie dekt geen storingen in het Product die het gevolg zijn van het gebruik van accessoires of andere randapparatuur die geen originele accessoires van het merk Sony Mobile zijn, bedoeld voor gebruik met het Product. 7. Deze garantie dekt geen storingen van het Product of vermindering van de functionaliteit die veroorzaakt zijn door software of toepassingen van derden die u hebt gedownload van sites van derden of die u op een andere manier op uw Product hebt geïnstalleerd. Het is uw verantwoordelijkheid om te controleren welke ondersteuning, indien aanwezig, wordt aangeboden door derden (zoals ontwikkelaars) met betrekking tot applicaties van derden die door u zijn gedownload naar uw Product voordat u dergelijke software of applicaties van derden downloadt. 8. Knoeien met de afdichtingen van het Product maakt de garantie ongeldig. 9. ER ZIJN GEEN UITDRUKKELIJKE GARANTIES, NOCH SCHRIFTELIJK NOCH MONDELING, ANDERS DAN DEZE GEDRUKTE BEPERKTE GARANTIE. 9 Limited Warranty Subject to the conditions of this Limited Warranty, Sony Mobile Communications AB, Lund, Sweden, ( Sony Mobile ) or its relevant local affiliate warrants this product to be free from defects in design, material and workmanship at the time of its original purchase by a consumer, and for a subsequent period of one (1) year ( Warranty Period"). Should your Product need warranty service, please return it to the dealer from whom it was purchased or contact your local Sony Mobile Contact Center (national rates may apply) or visit to get further information. WHAT WE WILL DO If, during the warranty period, this Product fails to operate under normal use and service, due to defects in materials or workmanship, the Sony Mobile authorized distributors or service partners will, at their option, either repair or replace the Product in accordance with the conditions stipulated herein. Sony Mobile and its service partners reserve the right to charge a handling fee if a returned Product is found not to be under warranty according to the conditions below. Please note that some of your personal settings, downloads and other information may be lost when your Sony Mobile Product is repaired or replaced. Sony Mobile may be prevented by applicable laws, other regulations or technical restrictions from making a backup copy of certain downloads. Sony Mobile does not take any responsibility for any lost or corrupted information of any kind and will not reimburse you for any such loss. 10 CONDITIONS 1. The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by the dealer, specifying the date of purchase, is presented with the Product to be repaired or replaced. Sony Mobile reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been removed or changed after the original purchase of the Product from the dealer. 2. If Sony Mobile repairs or replaces the Product, the repaired or replaced Product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer. For clarity, any software update or upgrade provided overthe-air by Sony Mobile or its service partners will not extend the original Warranty Period. Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent reconditioned units or parts. Replaced parts or components will become the property of Sony Mobile and will not be returned to you. 3. This warranty does not cover any failure of the Product due to normal wear and tear, or due to misuse, including but not limited to use in other than the normal and customary manner, in accordance with the instructions for use and maintenance of the Product. Nor does this warranty cover any failure of the Product due to accident, modification or adjustment, acts of God or damage resulting from liquid. A rechargeable battery can be charged and discharged more than a hundred times. However, it will eventually wear out this is not a defect and therefore not warranted but corresponds to normal wear and tear. When the talk-time or standby time is noticeably shorter, it is time to replace the battery. Sony Mobile recommends that you use only batteries and chargers approved by Sony Mobile. Minor variations in display brightness and colour may occur between different phones. There may be tiny bright or dark dots on the display. These are called defective pixels and occur when individual dots have malfunctioned and can not be adjusted. Two defective pixels are deemed acceptable and therefore not warranted. 11 Minor variations in camera image appearance may occur between phones. This is nothing uncommon and is not regarded as a defective camera module and therefore not warranted. 4. Since the cellular system on which the Product is to operate is provided by a carrier independent from Sony Mobile, Sony Mobile will not be responsible for the operation, availability, coverage, services or range of that system. 5. This warranty does not cover Product failures due to improper repair installations, modifications or service performed by a non-sony Mobile authorized person. 6. This warranty does not cover Product failures which have been caused by use of accessories or other peripheral devices which are not Sony Mobile branded original accessories intended for use with the Product. 7. This warranty does not cover Product failures or any reduction in functionality which have been caused by thirdparty software or applications which have been downloaded by you from third party sites or which you have otherwise installed on your Product. It is your responsibility to check what support, if any, is offered by third parties (such as developers) in respect of any third party applications downloaded by you to your Product prior to you downloading any such third party software or application. 8. Tampering with any of the seals on the Product will void the warranty. 9. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THIS PRINTED LIMITED WARRANTY. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
