Today GustoMSC is an independent engineering firm and still going strong as one of the leading designers for mobile offshore units. Basic Design GustoMSC has some of the best value for money basic designs (AWARDS). Our areas of expertise are drilling and construction for which we design vessels, jackups and semisubmersibles, applying this knowledge in more specialized designs for mobile production units, accommodation units and even offshore wind. Equipment Design and Supply Over the years GustoMSC developed and patented several offshore widely used systems. For example: the X-Y-skidding system for derricks and jacking and fixation systems for jackups. Our approach to economic innovation has resulted in many ingenious designs, for instance the aroundthe-leg crane that occupies much less deck space, leaving room for more economic use of the deck. Ofwel van maandblad naar dagblad. In de gedachten van velen is de succesformule van Damen standaardisatie en leveren uit voorraad. De afgelopen jaren heeft Damen een enorme groei doorgemaakt waarbij standaardisatie in mindere mate aandacht heeft gehad. Om in een steeds competitievere markt toch een aantrekkelijk product van goede kwaliteit en een scherpe prijs te kunnen blijven aanbieden, lopen er een aantal initiatieven op het gebied van standaardisatie en procesbeheersing.

2 Caspar de Jong zal in zijn presentatie jullie meenemen hoe dertig jaar geleden Fokker een vergelijkbaar proces door maakte; twee nieuwe vliegtuigtypen, een vervijfvoudiging van de omzet, veel klantenwensen en enorme concurrentie. In tegenstelling tot Damen heeft Fokker nooit uit voorraad willen leveren maar werd daartoe gedwongen. Uiteindelijk leidde dit voor Fokker tot een faillissement. De noodzaak tot procesverbetering en standaardisatie is bij Damen niet anders dan bij Fokker 30 jaar geleden. Dat geldt ook voor de aanpak van deze problemen. Logica en gezond verstand zijn tijdloos. Wouter Flach Account Manager Studenten en (young) Professionals Hoe presenteer ik mijzelf UUR In de huidige maatschappij leren studenten, afstudeerders maar ook (young)professionals dat het sollicitatiegesprek jouw kans is om jezelf te presenteren en kennis te maken met de werkgever. "Dit is jouw moment om te laten zien dat jij de aangewezen persoon bent voor deze functie". Ik stel deze zienswijze zwaar ter discussie! Het gaat er namelijk veel meer om dat je samen bekijkt of je bij elkaar past. Net als in een vriendschappelijke of liefdesrelatie is het in een zakelijke relatie van belang dat je naar elkaar luistert en zoekt naar overeenkomsten. De Arbeidsmarkt is aan het veranderen. Waarbij zowel vraag (werkgevers) als aanbod(werknemers) andere wensen en verwachtingen hebben. Daarbij wordt het in de huidige markt steeds belangrijker om op een onderscheidende en proactieve manier jezelf te profileren bij potentiële werkgevers en vice-versa. De meeste mensen en bedrijven gaan uit van het principe Wat Hoe Waarom, terwijl het veel krachtiger is om uit te gaan van het Waarom je 's ochtends je bed uitkomt. Waar geloof je in? Door hier goed over na te denken en vervolgens invulling aan te geven bepaal jij waar je wat op welke manier gaat doen.

Wayhu Schiks Discipline Lead Structural Life extension programs; make an old vessel fit for the future UUR Life extension programs is one of the main Nevesbu products. We engineer life extension to different maritime markets; offshore, navy, special purpose vessels. Tasks of a vessel can change during its life time and its service life can be extended. For instance a crude oil tanker can be transformed into an FPSO or a frigate can have a different operational profile and therefore needs other sensors and weaponry installed. Nevesbu is a key player when it comes to modifying existing vessels to fit for its new purpose. For an engineer it s a big challenge to transform an existing ship. The engineer has to solve different issues and has the boundary of the existing vessel structure and capabilities. 7 Manager Hull Design Department Professionals SBM Offshore: the FPSO provider for the oil & gas industry SBM Offshore s business is providing floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry. SBM Offshore is the market leader in providing leased production floating systems. Out of its headquarter in Schiedam and 4 execution centers worldwide, FPSOs are delivered to its clients. SBM designs the FPSOs in house, procures all the required equipment for delivery to the construction yard and supervises the construction management. The FPSOs are commissioned and installed by in-house groups. SBMs leased FPSOs are operated by SBM Production Contractors, the 5th execution centre.
