4 Model driven Model-driven engineering (MDE) is a software development methodology which focuses on creating models, or abstractions, more close to some particular domain concepts rather than computing (or algorithmic) concepts. It is meant to increase productivity by maximizing compatibility between systems, simplifying the process of design, and promoting communication between individuals and teams working on the system.

5 Model driven A modeling paradigm for MDE is considered effective if its models make sense from the point of view of the user and can serve as a basis for implementing systems. The models are developed through extensive communication among product managers, designers, and members of the development team. As the models approach completion, they enable the development of software and systems.

6 Aspect Oriented Aspect-oriented programming (AOP) is a programming paradigm that increases modularity by allowing the separation of cross-cutting concerns, forming a basis for aspect-oriented software development. Introduced after object-oriented programming (OOP), it is a post-objectoriented programming paradigm.

7 Aspect Oriented Aspectgeoriënteerd programmeren (AOP) is een uitbreiding op de bekende manieren van programmeren, waarbij het mogelijk wordt om een stuk code A "in te lassen" in een ander stuk code B zonder dat B een zichtbare verwijzing heeft naar A. Hoewel deze uitbreiding toegepast kan worden op alle bekende vormen (paradigma s) van programmeertalen, past het concept qua structuur het beste bij het objectgeoriënteerde paradigma.

8 Computer Aided Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) is het intensief gebruik van software voor de ontwikkeling en het onderhoud van een computerprogramma. CASE-tools zijn computerprogramma's die de ontwikkelaar helpen bij de verschillende onderdelen van softwareontwikkeling, zoals de planning, de functionele analyse, het technisch ontwerp en de documentatie. De CASE-tools zijn bedoeld om de ontwikkeltijd van de software te verkorten, en de ontwikkelkosten ervan te verlagen.
