Our population is growing at an enormous rate, and we re consuming more resources than the planet can provide. Over the next three decades, food production will need to almost double to meet the surging demand. If we don t do something now, our children and grandchildren will be the ones to suffer the consequences of our actions. But we can still turn the tide. As consumers, by making informed and responsible choices about what to eat. And as corporations, by taking the responsibility to cater to those choices. Nutreco operates around the world. That means we re in a great position to influence all of the playersin the feed-tofood value chain. That includes keeping our own house in order by reducing the environmental impact of our operations. More importantly, we develop sustainable nutritional solutions. For instance by supporting animal health through nutrition, so the use of antibiotics can be reduced and animal productivity improves. And by changing the diet of salmon and shrimp to alleviate the pressure on wild fisheries of the oceans. In addition, we re influencing our partners around the globe to do the same. For example, by having our suppliers sign our code of conduct. We monitor, measure, and report that is part of our way to ensure we make real progress and to hold ourselves accountable. Our global sustainability program, Nuterra, includes tangible strategies to measurably reduce the eco footprint of the food on your dinner plate.

Elke kolom beweegt omlaag zoals een slot machine en komt even tot stilstand op: kip, rund en vervolgens weer op zalm. 00:41-00:50

8 Scene 07 Nutreco Sustainability Our global sustainability program, Nuterra, includes tangible strategies to measurably reduce the eco footprint of the food on your dinner plate. De onderdelen in de feed-to-food chain krijgen een een outline die groeit en rood oplicht. Er verschijnt een nieuw vlak vanuit een vouw in het midden van het scherm.
