14 Take-home message laboratorium paraatheid: Algemeen Betrouwbare en voldoende beschikbaarheid Ebolavirus diagnostiek is essentieel voor controle van de uitbraak in West-Afrika. Betrouwbare en voldoende beschikbaarheid Ebolavirus diagnostiek is essentieel voor tijdige identificatie patiënten en het voorkomen van lokale verspreiding na introductie via patiënt in Ebolavirus-vrije gebieden.

15 Take-home message laboratorium paraatheid: Nederland Ebolavirus diagnostiek capaciteit en kwaliteit in Nederland is in orde. Binnen Europees netwerk wordt diagnostiek onafhankelijk geconfirmeerd. Op Europees niveau is er voldoende diagnostiek capaciteit, inclusief 8 BSL4 laboratoria.

16 Take-home message laboratorium paraatheid West-Afrika Ontbreken systematische en grensoverschrijdende aanpak laboratorium paraatheid vanuit centrale coördinatie. Ontbreken systematische inventarisatie laboratorium capaciteit en kwaliteit = identificatie knelpunten waarop actie. In West-Afrika is diagnostiek niet op alle noodzakelijke plekken aanwezig. Aanwezige laboratorium capaciteit is in aantal regio s onvoldoende. Geen zicht op kwaliteit van lokale diagnostiek.
