1 May 12 th, for immediate release English The Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association announces the Bonaire Culinary Team 2015 The Bonaire Culinary Team 2015 is now complete and in full training for their participation at the Taste of the Caribbean competition which will be taking place in Miami next month. Team manager Floris van Loo from Rum Runners Restaurant is working with professional chefs and bartender from several BONHATA and the Bonaire Restaurant Association (BRA) members: Senior Chefs Miguel "Poppy" Saragoza and Channethon Jansen. Junior Chef is experienced team member Giovannie Veld and pastry chef is Junior Janga who has also been to this competition before. The bartender joining the team is Jay Frans, winner of the Bonaire bartender competition 2015 who also joined the team last year. Another junior chef travelling with the team to show support the team and participate in an individual element is Ronald Jojo Gosepa. Giovannie and Ronald won gold in 2014 during the Caribbean Dueling Challenge for junior chefs. The Taste of the Caribbean Culinary Competition for professional chefs and bartenders is organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) of which the Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association (BONHATA) is an active member. The chefs had their first presentation for a small group of food lovers last Sunday and served an impressive three course lunch. Coming Sunday, May 17 this culinary team is organizing a fundraiser dinner at It Rains Fishes. Tickets are available at $ 50 for a three course dinner with wine and in addition to that, cocktails prepared by Jay Frans, winner of the Bonaire bartender competition Cocktails are served at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. Reservations required. Participation at this prestigious Caribbean competition has been made possible by the following sponsors: Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association (BONHATA); Bonaire Food Group; Cadushy Distillery, Streefkerk architects + consultants; Caribbean Bakery Supplies; Tourism Corporation Bonaire. 3 Nederlands De Bonaire Hotel en Tourism Association kondigt het Bonaire Culinaire Team 2015 aan Het Bonaire Culinaire Team 2015 is nu compleet en in volle training voor hun deelname aan de Taste of the Caribbean competitie die volgende maand plaats zal vinden in Miami. Team manager Floris van Loo van Rum Runners Restaurant werkt samen met professionele koks en een bartender van verschillende BONHATA en Bonaire Restaurant Association (BRA) leden: Senior Chefs Miguel "Poppy" Saragoza en Channethon Jansen. Junior Chef Giovannie Veld en pastry chef Junior Janga zijn beide ervaren teamleden die al eerder aan deze wedstrijd hebben meegedaan. De bartender die het team compleet maakt is Jay Frans, winnaar van de Bonaire bartender competitie 2015 en al lid van het team in Een andere junior chef die ook met het team zal meereizen als ondersteuning van het team en die ook zal deelnemen aan een individueel competitie element is Ronald "Jojo" Gosepa. Giovannie en Ronald hebben in 2014 goud gewonnen tijdens het Caribbean Dueling Challenge voor junior chefs. De Taste of the Caribbean wedstrijd voor professionele koks en bartenders wordt georganiseerd door de Caribbean Hotel en Tourism Association (CHTA) waarvan de Bonaire Hotel en Tourism Association (BONHATA) een actief lid is. De chefs hadden afgelopen zondag hun eerste presentatie voor een kleine groep van liefhebbers en serveerden een indrukwekkende drie gangen lunch. Komende zondag 17 mei organiseert dit culinaire team een fundraiser diner bij It Rains Fishes. Kaarten zijn verkrijgbaar voor $ 50 en bieden een drie-gangen diner met wijn plus cocktails bereid door bartender Jay Frans, winnaar van de Bonaire bartender competitie Cocktails worden om 06:00 pm geserveerd, gevolgd door het diner om 6:30 uur. Reservering is noodzakelijk. Deelname aan deze prestigieuze Caribbean competitie wordt mogelijk gemaakt door de volgende sponsors: Bonaire Hotel en Tourism Association (BONHATA); Bonaire Food Group; Cadushy Distillery, Streefkerk architects + consultants; Caribbean Bakery Supplies; Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
