2 Official Match Protocol -10 min Previous match finishes, referees to complete post match formalities and exit court area. - 8 min. Players and officials enter the court area. Players must be in official match uniforms (in line with beach council instructions). Officials check match equipement, scoresheet, conditions, players area, etc. - 5 min. Coin toss in front of scorer s table * - 4 min. Beginning of offical warm up period (3min). - 1 min. End official warm up, players to player s area. First referee to the referee s chair. Players enter on to the rear of the playing court. First referee whistle and players shake hands under the net. 0 min. Beginning of the match. End of match Players shake hands with opponents and referees. Captains signe scoresheet. The referees lead the teams to exit the court. * At delay of the previous game, this is the starting point.

3 Een ploeg verliest de wedstrijd met 2 x 21-0 bij best-of-3 indien: Een ploeg weigert te spelen Forfait Een ploeg niet op tijd op het veld verschijnt niet-op-tijd = niet aanwezig/speelklaar op het moment van fluitsignaal voor de 1 e opslag = 5 minuten na de toss!!! Het wedstrijdprotocol blijven volgen!!!

4 CAPITAINE Le capitaine est responsable du maintien de la conduite et de la discipline de l'équipe. AVANT LE MATCH, le capitaine d équipe : a) représente son équipe au tirage au sort. b) signe la feuille de match. PENDANT LE MATCH: seul le capitaine est autorisé à parler aux arbitres quand le ballon est hors jeu dans les trois cas suivants: a) pour demander une explication sur l'application ou l'interprétation des Règles au cas où l'explication ne satisfait pas le capitaine, il doit immédiatement informer le 1er arbitre de son intention de porter réclamation.

5 CAPITAINE b) pour demander l'autorisation de: i. changer de tenue ou d'équipement, ii. vérifier le numéro du serveur, iii. vérifier le filet, le ballon, la surface etc., iv. de réaligner une ligne de terrain c) de demander des temps-morts. A LA FIN DU MATCH: a) Les deux joueurs/joueuses remercient les arbitres et leurs adversaires. b) Le capitaine signe la feuille de match pour homologuer le résultat

6 Onderbrekingen = reglementaire spelonderbreking van 30 seconden Technical TO Best-of-3 (set 1 en 2): Enkel bij de eerste som van 21 punten TO Aanvraag door de kapitein Max 1 TO per set per ploeg Tijdens (T)TO en tussen de sets moeten de spelers zich naar de hun toegewezen spelersruimte begeven.

7 Ongegronde aanvragen Ongegrond een TO aan te vragen: tijdens een spelfase of op het ogenblik van of na het fluitsignaal om op te slaan door een niet-gemachtigd ploeglid wanneer de ploeg reeds een TO genomen heeft Elke ongegronde aanvraag die geen invloed heef top het spel of geen spelvertraging met zich meebrengt: De eerste maal wordt dit verworpen zonder gevolg Elke bijkomende ongegronde aanvraag door dezelfde ploeg tijdens de wedstrijd resulteert in een spelvertraging.

8 Spelvertragingen Onregelmatige actie Team-gelinkt niet individueel 12 secondes regel 15 secondes regel (TO-TTO) Niet toegelaten onderhoud van een speler (bril, zand, zweet, ) Kantwissel Herhaalde aanvraag van het aantal TO Herhalen van een ongegronde aanvraag 1 e aanvraag zonder spelvertraging wordt verworpen zonder sanctie Voortgezette discussie over de interpretatie van de reglementen Discussie over een oordeelbeslissing (judgement call)

9 Spelvertraging Waarschuwing 1 e vertraging van een team in een wedstrijd Bestraffing 2 e en volgende spelvertragingen elke soort door hetzelfde team in dezelfde wedstrijd

10 Uitzonderlijke spelonderbrekingen Kwetsuur/Ziekte = ernstig accident/incident tijdens de spelfase 1 e en/of 2 e SR oordeelt dat de speler niet verder kan spelen STOP PLAY Indien aangevraagd: medische TO Medical Protocol max. 5 minuten 1 per speler per match

12 Interval tussen de sets & Kampwissels Interval tussen de sets = 1 minuut (incl. kampwissel) Kampwissel moet toegelaten worden door de SR: Set 1-2: elke 7 punten Set 3: elke 5 punten!!! Mag het tempo van de wedstrijd niet onderbreken!!! delay sanction Indien de kampwissel niet wordt uitgevoerd op het correcte moment, dan moet deze meteen uitgevoerd wanneer de fout wordt opgemerkt. Hierbij blijft de score op moment van de kampwissel behouden.

13 Interference Player may enter the opponents s space, court and/or free zone!!! If this doesn t interfere with the opponents play!!! Therefore physical contact by players is not always interference: and If the contact is: incidental didn t interefere with the players ability to make a play on the ball there is no fault. Interference may be penalised if: the contact is merely threatening the opponent(s) altered substantially their position deliberately to interfere with the opponent s attempt to play the ball

14 Net fault Contact with the net or antenna is not a fault, inless it interferes with the play. Touching the top band of the net or the top 80 cm of the antenna by a player during the action of playing the ball will always be considered as interference with the play. NET FAULT ball is driven from opposing side into the net and causes to touch the player no fault incidental contact with net caused by significant alteration of its normal shape due to wind no fault

15 Net contact interference The action of takeoff, hit, lower net contact and landing *: or has hindered or inhibited the movement of the opponent there has been actual physical contact with the opponent during any part of the action Net contact interference * All 4 conditions have to be fulfilled.

16 PROTEST PROTOCOL The criteria for acceptance of a legitimates Protest shal involve any one or more of the following circumstances: The REFEREE misinterpreted or did not correctly apply the rules, or did not assume the consequences of his decision. Scoring errors Technical aspect of the match conditions ( weather, light etc ) The referee MUST ONLY CONSIDER THESE THREE CRITERIA to accept a Protest of the CAPTAIN. If the protest is legitimate, call the referee delegate. If not: 1) request the captain to continue play 2) if he refuses delay warning/sanction

17 Minor misconduct not subject to a sanction target is to prevent the teams of approaching the sanctioning scale Two stages: 1. verbal warning through the captain 2. formal warning: yellow card to a team member sanction symbol that the player, and by extension the team, has reached the sanctioning level for the match on the score sheet

18 Misconduct leading to sanctions Three categories: 1. rude conduct: good manners / moral principles 2. offensive conduct: insulting words / gestures 3. aggression: physical attack / threatening behaviour!! Before and between sets: apply in the following set!!! After the game before signature(s) of the captain(s): misconduct sanctions are still possible

20 Characteristics of the hit The ball may touch any part of the body The ball must not be caught or thrown ; it can rebound in any direction Exceptions: if simultaneous contact with the ball over the net by the two opponents leads to an extended contact in defensive action of a hard driven ball, the ball contact can be extended momentarily overhand with the fingers

21 Characteristics of the hit The ball may touch various parts of the body, Exceptions: provided that the contacts take place simultaneously. at blocking, consecutive contacts may be made by one or more players, provided that they occur during one action at the first hit of the team, the ball may contact various parts of the body consecutively, provided that the contacts occur during one action Exception: playing overhand with fingers

22 Faults of the attack hit A player: hits the ball within the playing space of the opposing team hits the ball out completes an attack-hit using an open-handed finger action or if using finger tips that are not rigid and together. completes an attack hit on the opponent s service, when the ball is entirely higher than the top of the net.
