De MS325 is type gekeurd door Lloyds Register. De scheepstelegraaf set bestaat uit een brug en een machine kamer paneel en optioneel een paneel voor in de machine controle kamer. Deze panelen zijn voorzien van een buzzer en een relais contact voor het aansturen van het signaal tableau in de machine kamer of een externe buzzer op de brug. Het failure contact wordt verbroken als de voeding spanning of de communicatie tussen de MS325 panelen wegvalt. Beide panelen zijn voorzien van LED s voor aflezing van de commando posities en POWER / ER / ECR en FAIL LED s. De telegraaf panelen communiceren met elkaar middels een RS-485 verbinding. Tevens is er een RS-485 interface voor het verzenden van data naar een VDR (Voyage Data Recorder). BRIDGE/ER/ECR configuratie De software van de MS325 panelen (brug/machine kamer en machine controle kamer) is hetzelfde. Het onderscheid wordt gemaakt door de jumper op de achterzijde. Het brugpaneel verzendt berichten waarop de machinekamer / machine controlekamer panelen op dienen te reageren. Voor de juiste instelling zie onderstaande tekening. Marble Automation MS325 Pagina 2

De scheepstelegraaf set bestaat uit een brug en een machine kamer paneel en optioneel een paneel voor in de machine controle kamer.

2 Omschrijving De telegraaf heeft negen commando s, een ENGINE READY en een STANDBY stand. Deze posities worden weergegeven met twee kolommen LED s. De linker kolom geeft de stand van de andere unit weer. De rechter kolom geeft de lokaal gekozen stand weer. Als de configuratie BRIDGE/ER/ECR ( brug, machinekamer, controlekamer) wordt toegepast, maakt het niet uit welk paneel bediend wordt. Het ER paneel loopt synchroon met het ECR paneel dus wordt de gekozen stand direct overgenomen. Als er gebruik wordt gemaakt van een MS330 keuzepaneel kan alleen op het geselecteerde paneel bediend worden. Het paneel welke niet is geselecteerd geeft wel de gekozen standen weer. Als er langer dan 2 seconden geen communicatie is tussen de brug en ER/ECR panelen zal de FAIL LED gaan branden en het Failure relaiscontact voor communicatie/power storingsalarm zal afvallen. Dit contact kan worden aangesloten op het alarmsysteem. Als commando s gegeven gaan worden, druk dan eerst op de toets naast de STANDBY positie. De machinist weet hierdoor dat hij commando s kan verwachten. Hierna kan begonnen worden met het geven van commando s. Bij een ongelijke positie van de brug en machinekamer panelen wordt er in de telegraaf panelen een buzzer geactiveerd en in de machine kamer panelen wordt tevens een sirene/zwaailicht contact gesloten. De POWER, ER en ECR LED s evenals de achtergrond verlichting kunnen in vijf standen worden gedimd, door de dimtoets kortstondig in te drukken. Als de dim toets langer dan 1 seconde wordt ingedrukt gaan alle LED s branden. ( lamptest) Communicatie en VDR De MS325 heeft twee communicatie interfaces. Één voor het versturen van data onderling (klem 6,7 en 8,9) en de tweede is voor het versturen van data naar de VDR (klem 10 en 11). Het zijn beide RS485 verbindingen. De communicatie tussen de MS325 s gebeurd via een eigen protocol. Als de configuratie BRIDGE/ER/ECR ( brug, machinekamer, controlekamer) wordt toegepast, maakt het niet uit welk paneel bediend wordt.

The MS325 is type approved by Lloyds Register. This telegraph set includes a bridge unit and an engine room unit and an optional engine control room unit. These units are equipped with a buzzer and relay contact. The relay contact in the engine room units can switch a horn or rotating light, the bridge unit can switch a second buzzer. The chosen position on the MS325 is visualized with two LED columns. The left column indicates the position of the remote MS325 and the right column visualizes the local position. The POWER LED shows whether the power is supplied and the internal controller is operational. Communication is done by an RS-485 interface. Also a RS-485 is provided to interface with a VDR (Voyage Data Recorder). Configure bridge/er/ecr The software for BRIDGE/ER/ECR MS325 units are identical. To differ whether a unit is BRIDGE/ER/ECR adjust the jumper switch at the back of the unit. The bridge unit generates messages for the ER/ECR units. 5 Communication and VDR Description The MS325 has nine command positions an ENGINE READY and STANDBY position. These positions are presented into two led columns. The LED s positioned close to the push buttons are the local chosen command. The LED s at the left indicate the remote position. Normally telegraph units are in the ENGINE READY position. If an emergency situation occurs the officer on the bridge changes to the STANDBY position, now the engineer is notified by acoustic and/or visual signaling and is awaiting further commands. The green LED s (ENGINE READY/POWER/ER and ECR) and the backlight, are dimmable in five stages by pushing the DIM button momentary. Holding the DIM button for more than one second will result in LED test. The MS325 is equipped with two communication interfaces. One to interface with remote telegraph units (terminal 6,7 and 8,9). The other is for sending data to the VDR (terminal 10 and 11). Both interfaces are RS485. The interface which exchanges data between the telegraph units uses our own developed protocol. The VDR parameters are as following: and sends a NMEA sentence every event.
