Denk aan: hgere betrkkenheid, betere leerprestaties, efficiënter nderwijs- f leerprces; Ksten en baten van het prject meten acceptabel. Ksten zijn in vereenstemming met uit te veren activiteiten en/f aan te schaffen middelen (in verleg met ViA-prjectleiding. Er wrdt k gekeken naar evenredige verdeling van het ViA-academiebudget binnen het gehele ViA-prject; De dcent vert een effectmeting en studentevaluatie uit, ndersteund vanuit ViA-prjectgrep (LIC). Titel: ASIS e-learning Prject: Hw-t-vides fr study skills Onderbuwing en begd resultaat Prbleemstelling f ambitie en analyse 2.1 Describe the prblem / cause r the ambitin underlying the prject and its relevance in relatin t the theme In tertiary educatin, Year 1 and Year 2 can be cnsidered undubtedly fundamental t academic success. Embedded in many first year classes, study skills such as nte taking, wrking in teams, referencing and research skills can be fund. Virtualiseren in Avans. Equally acknwledged is the fact that the first years at university can be verwhelming; classes are missed, lecture ntes lst. Hwever, missing ut n essential skills can be crucial t the success f students studies and internships. It therefre seems indispensable that students, f all study years, are given the pprtunity t acquire, refresh r expand n (missed) essential academic and career skills. At ASIS a large range f skills is taught by the English Department. Questins raised in ur department have been twfld. First f all, hw can students be mtivated t take initiative t catch up n missed cntent and t becme respnsible fr their wn learning and academic prgress? Secndly, hw can this learning take place withut increasing the teaching wrklad? The slutin that the ASIS English Department wuld like t prpse is ASIS e-learning: an nline platfrm (channel) cnsisting f a series f shrt (5-8 min) Hw t Presentatins with vice ver & Vides. 1

2 These made-t-measure presentatins & vides will cver a range f different skills which will be useful fr ASIS students as well as all AVANS students. Idea is t use mainly ready-made resurces, nly a few will be prduced made t measure. NB: 2.2 prvides links with examples. 4 Fb nw used as main tl with added apps t stre cntent 2.3 Argue hw the prject cntributes t the realizatin f the ambitin f raising educatinal quality ( attractive, effective and efficient educatin fr students (better academic perfrmance, higher invlvement in less time equal r better academic perfrmance, mre mtivated ) ). Fr example.b.v. previus experience and / r literature, ther studies. As s ften with prjects, selecting a suitable framewrk t prvide structure and guidance is a suitable first step. After cnsideratin, the selected framewrk t supprt and scaffld the develpment f this small e-prject is the straight-frward, 5-Step framewrk by Salmn (2002). This framewrk ffers clear guidance n hw an e-learning envirnment can be created, which is engaging, mtivating, supprtive and nnintimidating. Mrever it is a framewrk which supprts the develpment f thinking and cmmunicatin skills and the giving f respnsibility t the student. Students are used t viewing vides and sitcms n their mbile devices. Therefre, receiving skills packaged in frm f vice ver presentatins and vides f 5-8 min duratin will be a familiar experience. All the selected platfrms allw fr students t scialize, add cmments and exchange resurces, smething that can be encuraged by the way the page / channel is managed. If engagement is active, a message bard can be added. Creating a space fr students t be part f supprts the sense f cmmunity (3) which fr many creates security. 7 Bijdrage aan ntwikkeling dcent p gevrderd niveau Virtualiseren Het gevrderd prject heeft effect p de student én draagt k bij aan de ntwikkeling van de dcent. In het cmpetentieprfiel van Virtualiseren staat een indicatie van de start- en eindsituatie van de dcent p niveau Gevrderd: Start: Een gevrderd ICT-gebruiker (in nderwijs) heeft enige rutine in het gebruik van ICT in het nderwijs. Hij vraagt zich regelmatig af he technlgie in de dagelijkse nderwijspraktijk kan wrden geïntegreerd. Hij is niet alleen instrumenteel vaardig, maar vral didactisch. Hij gebruikt de mgelijkheden vral in zijn eigen nderwijspraktijk. Ng meer intuïtief. Eind: Een gevrderd ICT-gebruiker (in nderwijs) heeft rutine in het gebruik van ICT in het nderwijs. Hij integreert technlgie regelmatig in zijn nderwijspraktijk. Hij vraagt zich regelmatig af wat het effect is van ICTgebruik in de nderwijspraktijk p zijn studenten. Hij inspireert k andere cllega s en praat regelmatig ver zijn pgedane kennis en ervaringen. Hij heeft nagedacht ver de relatie tussen nderwijsvisie en het gebruik van ICT. Vrtgang: wat is er al gebeurd? is het begd resultaat (n)veranderd? wat met er ng gebeuren? wanneer is het prject afgernd? B. End Review: 1. is de delstelling en begd resultaat (n)veranderd? 2. wat heb je gedaan? 3. wat is het pgeleverde resultaat? 4. is de delstelling bereikt? en waarm (niet)? wat is het effect p studenten? Is er een hgere betrkkenheid? Is er sprake van een verbeterd leerprces? Bijvrbeeld: effectiever (hger leerresultaat), efficiënter (in minder tijd vergelijkbare f zelfs betere leerprestaties), student is meer gemtiveerd. wat betekent deze tepassing vr dcenten? Kan de dcent meer effectief f efficiënt vrbereiden, lesgeven/begeleiden? En waarm? 5. wat betekent deze tepassing vr de ndersteuning vanuit de nderwijsrganisatie (binnen de academie f daarbuiten)? (in dit prject; en in de tekmst?) 6. kmt er een vervlg f zu het (breder) uitgerld kunnen wrden, en z ja he? 7. kennisdeling: wat wil je delen ver de vernieuwde nderwijspraktijk c.q. het experiment? welke prducten zijn pgeleverd die we kunnen delen (bijv. screencasts) welke tips heb je vr andere dcenten (lessns learned)? (tepassing = nderwijspraktijk waarin de dcent gebruik maakt van een f meerdere digitale tl(s) c.q. tepassingen in het leren/lesgeven) Wat is het effect p ju? Is er sprake van een hgere betrkkenheid?
