4 Instructions Guide Please note all (Ref.) refer to the Controls and Functions mapping guide on Pages 1-2. Basic Operation Plug the power supply plug into the mains and the connector into the back of the system labelled DC IN (Ref.13). Power Supply ON/OFF at back of system (Ref.12). Fully extend the antenna (Ref.15) so that it can rotate to get the best FM signal. Press the Standby/Mode button (Ref.1) to turn the unit on. The system should go straight to DAB Radio mode and automatically start scanning for stations. The display will show Searching and can take a few minutes to scan. Press the Standby/Mode button (Ref.1) to switch to FM or press again to switch back to DAB. Standby To change the music system back into standby, press and hold the Standby/Mode button (Ref.1). the button on rear of the unit (Ref.12 mains. The cord must be out of reach of children.

5 Instructions Guide DAB Radio Press the Standby/ Mode button (Ref.1) to switch to DAB Radio. Fully extend the antenna (Ref.15). To auto scan (if the unit hasn t automatically done so, or shows no signal) press the Scan button (Ref.3) and then release. This will start scanning up the frequency band and store all stations that have a good signal. Please note, if you aren t in a good DAB signal area then your signal may be very weak. The radio will automatically save all the stations with a strong signal.. To listen to all stations that have been stored use the Next (Ref.9) and Prev (Ref.7) buttons to scroll through the stations. The radio will display station information when you press the Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Press multiple times to view all information available (see page 10).. automatically tune to the same station (DAB or FM) that was last selected.

6 Instructions Guide How to store a preset radio station Up to 10 preset stations can be set. To store a station that you are currently playing: Press and hold Preset/Dimmer button (Ref.4). Preset Empty. Press Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) button to change the 1 to the number you want to store the station as. Then press Enter/ Snooze button (Ref.5) to save. The display will then show Preset (1) stored. How to play a preset radio station Press the Preset (Ref.4). Press Prev button (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) to scroll through your preset stations, up to 10. Press Enter button (Ref.5) to select your choice. IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have extended the antenna (Ref.15) to its full length. This will then enable you to rotate it to get the best signal.

7 Instructions Guide FM Radio Press the Mode button (Ref.1) to switch to FM. you do this FM frequency 87.5 MHz will be displayed on the screen. Fully extend the antenna (Ref.15). To auto-scan press and release the Scan button (Ref.3). This will then start scanning up the frequency band and play. hold the Next button (Ref.9) to search up the bandwidth quickly and Prev button (Ref.7) to search down quickly. It will stop searching when the button is released. To search slowly press the Next (Ref.9) and Prev button (Ref.7) multiple times rather than holding. Mono and Auto In working mode, press and hold Info/Menu button (Ref.6), use the Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) buttons to choose your option. Choose AUDIO MODE and press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). Press Enter/Snooze (Ref.5) multiple times to change between Mono and Auto. The display will show which mode you are in.

9 Instructions Guide FM Sensitivity This is a measurement of how well the tuner can pick up signals. The lower the number (it s usually in the range of 9 to 11), the better. Press and hold the Info/Menu button (Ref.6). To make your choice use the Prev/Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to choose your option. Choose FM SENSITIVITY and press the Enter button (Ref.5). To make your choice use the Prev/Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to highlight your option, then press Enter/Snooze. IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have extended the antenna (Ref.15) to its full length. This will then enable you to rotate it to get the best signal.

10 Instructions Guide Station Information for DAB and FM Radio DAB Radio Press the Info/Menu button (Ref.6) repeatedly to show the. Bit Rate: Shows the data rate at which the signal is being transmitted. Bit Error Rate (BER): Provides details of the signal error rate. Channel and Frequency: Displays the station s transmission channel number and frequency. PTY (Programme Type): Shows the type and description of the programme provided by the DAB station. Time and Date: Displays the time and date information provided by the broadcaster. DAB Indication: Indicates DAB mode. Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): Displays scrolling text information supplied by the broadcaster.

11 Instructions Guide FM Radio Press the Info/Menu button (Ref.6) repeatedly to show the. Signal Strength: Displays a signal bar with the strength of the current station. Time and Date: Displays the time and the date. Frequency: Displays the station s transmission frequency. Audio Type: Displays the audio type of the station you are listening to. It will either be Stereo or Mono. Radio Text: Displays scrolling text information supplied by the broadcaster. Programme Type: Displays a description of the type of programme provided by the broadcaster.

12 Instructions Guide Clock and Date Setting Manually Setting the Date Ensure the unit is in working mode (i.e. listening to DAB/FM Radio). Press and hold the Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Use the Prev/Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to choose your option. Choose SET TIME/DATE and press the Enter button (Ref.5). T. Using the Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) button press until the required year is displayed. T (Ref.5) button. T. 14 Instructions Guide Dual Alarm Setting Alarm 1/Alarm 2 Setting Ensure the radio is in working mode (i.e. listening to DAB or FM Radio and not in standby mode). Press and hold Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Use the Prev (Ref.7) or Next button (Ref.9) to choose your option. Choose SET ALARM1 and press the Enter button (Ref.5). To turn the Alarm on, press the Next button (Ref.9) so that ON (Ref.5). T. Press the Prev or Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to change the hour and press Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). Press the Prev or Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to change the minutes and press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). Press the Prev or Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to choose when you want the alarm to sound: Daily/Weekdays/Weekends/Once, and press the Enter/Snooze' button (Ref.5). Press the Prev or Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to select your preferred alarm sound: BEEPER/DAB/FM, and press the Enter/ Snooze button (Ref.5). Press the Prev or Next buttons (Ref.7/9) to change the alarm volume and press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). To set Alarm 2, follow Alarm 1 instructions but choose Alarm 2 Set.

15 Instructions Guide Alarm Sound, Snooze and Dual USB Ports Alarm Sound If the alarm is set to DAB/FM mode it will play DAB/FM Station. If there is no signal it will automatically revert to BEEPER. If two alarms are set, and ALARM 1 is sounding when ALARM 2. T automatically. When alarm sounds, press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5) to snooze for 9 minutes. You can keep snoozing every 9 minutes for up to an hour. If ALARM 1 is snoozed then ALARM 2 will also be snoozed. T (Ref.1). Dual USB Ports Charging your Phone Both USB Ports (Ref.10 & 11) output 5V/2A. When connected via a USB lead into the USB port (Ref.10/11) a phone or tablet can be charged. You can not play your music via the USB connection: it is only used for charging a phone or tablet.

16 Instructions Guide Other Functions Sleep Setting selection of set times up to 90 minutes from activation. In working mode, press and hold Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Use the Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) buttons to choose your option. Choose SET SLEEP and press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). Using the Prev/Next buttons (Ref.7/9), choose from: OFF, 10mins, 20mins, 30mins, 40mins, 50mins, 60mins, 70mins, 80 mins or 90mins. When your choice is displayed press Enter/Snooze (Ref.5). The system will automatically start the timer. T select OFF from the choices. Once the timer has been set the minutes will count down on the display screen on right hand side.. The radio will then go into standby mode.

17 Instructions Guide Display Brightness To change the display brightness, ensure the system is in standby. Press the Dimmer/Preset button (Ref.4) to adjust the screen brightness. levels of brightness. System Reset Press and hold Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Use the Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) buttons to choose your option. Choose SYSTEM RESET and press the Enter/Snooze button (Ref.5). The display will show Press enter key to reset. Press Enter/ Snooze button (Ref.5). SW Version Software Version Display Press and hold Info/Menu button (Ref.6). Use the Prev (Ref.7) or Next (Ref.9) buttons to scroll through to show software version DS540 v1.00.

23 Instructiegids Let op: alle Referentie (Ref.) verwijzen naar de productoverzichten en Functies op pagina s 1-2. Basis bediening Doe de stekker in het stopcontact en de adapter achter in het apparaat bij de ingang DC IN (ref.13). Zet de schakelaar ON/OFF (ref.12) aan de achterzijde van het apparaat aan. Trek de antenne (ref.15) volledig uit zodat deze kan draaien voor een optimaal FM ontvangst. Druk op de Stand-by/Modus knop (ref.1) om het apparaat aan te zetten. Het apparaat schakelt direct in de DAB radio modus in en zal automatisch de stations gaan zoeken. Op het display verschijnt Searching, dit duurt enkele minuten. Druk op de Stand-by/Modus knop (Ref.1) om te schakelen naar de FM modus of om terug te keren naar de DAB modus. Stand-by Om het apparaat terug te zetten naar de Stand-by modus, houdt u de Stand-by/Modus knop (Ref.1) ingedrukt. Om het apparaat volledig uit te zetten, zet u de schakelaar aan de achterzijde van het apparaat (Ref.12) op Uit en trekt u de stekker uit het stopcontact. Houd het snoer buiten bereik van kinderen.

24 DAB Radio Druk op de Stand-by/Modus knop (Ref.1) om de radio om te zetten naar DAB Radio. Bij het eerste gebruik zullen alle beschikbare stations worden gezocht en opgeslagen. Trek de antenne (Ref.15) volledig uit Voor het zoeken (indien het apparaat dit nog niet automatisch heeft gedaan, of indien er geen signaal is) druk u op de Scan knop (Ref.3) en laat deze los. Het apparaat zal nu de gehele frequentieband afzoeken en alle stations met een goed signaal opslaan. Let op, indien u zich in een gebied bevindt waar geen goed DAB signaal is, zal het signaal erg zwak zijn. Het apparaat zal automatisch alle stations met een sterk signaal opslaan. Nadat alle stations zijn gevonden en opgeslagen zal automatisch het eerst opgeslagen station gaan spelen. Om de opgeslagen stations te beluisteren drukt u op de Volgende knop (Ref.9) en Vorige knop (Ref.7). De radio zal aanvullende informatie met betrekking tot het uitzonden station weergeven zodra u op de knop Info/Menu (Ref.6)drukt. Druk meerdere keren om alle beschikbare informatie te zien (zie pagina 10). Indien u de radio aanzet, zal deze het laatst beluisterde station (DAB of FM)weergeven.

26 FM Radio Druk op de Modus knop (Ref.1) om de radio om te zetten naar FM. Indien u dit voor de eerste keer doet, zal de FM frequentie 87.5 MHz op het display verschijnen. Trek de antenne (Ref.15) volledig uit. Om een auto-scan te starten, drukt u op de Scan knop (Ref.13). Hierdoor zal de volledige frequentieband worden afgezocht en het eerst gevonden station met een sterk signaal weergeven. Hoe kunt u handmatig een station afstemmen Indien u naar een specifiek station wilt luisteren, houdt u de Volgende knop (Ref.9) om snel de frequentieband naar boven of de Vorige knop (Ref.7) om snel de frequentieband naar beneden af te zoeken. Zodra u de knop loslaat, zal het zoeken worden gestopt. Indien wat langzamer wilt zoeken, kunt u het beste kort op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) drukken in plaats van deze vast te houden. Mono en Auto In werking, houdt u de Info/Menu knop (Ref.6), door middel van de Vorige ( Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref.9) knop kunt u uw keuze selecteren. Kies AUDIO MODE en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). Druk meerdere keren op Enter/Snooze (Ref.5) om te wisselen tussen Mono en Auto. De display geeft de modus weer die u heeft gekozen.

27 Hoe moet u een voor ingesteld station opslaan U kunt tot 10 stations opslaan. Voor het opslaan van een station: Houd de Preset/Dimmer knop (Ref.4) ingedrukt. Preset Empty 1 zal verschijnen op het scherm., het nummer zal knipperen. Druk op de Vorige en Volgende (Ref.7/9) om het nummer 1 te wijzigen naar het nummer waarin u het wilt wijzigen. Druk daarna op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om op te slaan. Op het display verschijnt Preset (1) stored. Beluisteren van een opgeslagen station Druk op de Preset knop (Ref.4). Druk op de Vorige en Volgende (Ref.7/9) om door de opgeslagen stations te zoeken, maximaal 10 stations. Druk op de Enter knop (Ref.5) om uw keuze te selecteren.

28 FM gevoeligheid Dit is een meetsysteem waardoor het beste een signaal kan worden gevonden. Hoe lager het nummer (normaliter van 9-11), hoe beter. Houd de Info/Menu knop (Ref.6). U kunt door middel van de Vorige/Volgende knoppen (Ref.7/9) uw keuze selecteren. Kies FM SENSITIVITY en druk op de Enter knop ( Ref.5). Om uw keuze te maken, drukt u op de Vorige/Volgende knoppen (Ref.7/9) om deze te laten oplichten, druk hierna op de Enter/Snooze knop. BELANGRIJK : Let op dat u de antenne (Ref.15) volledig hee uitgetrokken. Hierdoor kunt u deze draaien voor een maal signaal.

29 Station Informatie van de DAB Radio en FM Radio DAB Radio Druk meerdere keren op de Info/menu knop (Ref.6) om de informatie te verkrijgen van de verschillende programma s. Bit Rate: Geeft de snelheid weer waarmee data wordt verzonden. Bit Error Rate (BER): Geeft informatie met betrekking tot de BER waarden. Kanaal en Frequentie: Geeft het uitzendnummer van het station weer en de frequentie. PTY (Programma Type): Toont het type en omschrijving van het programma, verstrekt door het DAB+ station. Tijd en Datum: Geeft de tijd en datum weer zoals deze wordt doorgegeven door het station. DAB Indicatie: geeft de DAB modus weer. Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): De zender levert informatie die als scrollende tekst op de display wordt weergegeven.

30 FM radio Druk meerdere keren op de Info/menu knop (Ref.6) om de informatie te verkrijgen van de verschillende programma s. Signaal sterkte: De sterkte van het signaal van het huidige station wordt weergegeven op een signaal balk. Tijd en Datum: Toont de tijd en datum. Frequentie: Toont de frequentie van het huidige station. Audio Type: Toont naar welke audiotype u dit moment aan het luisteren bent. Er zijn twee mogelijkheden: Stereo of Mono. Radio Tekst: Toont de scrollende tekst die wordt doorgegeven door het radiostation. Programma Type: Toont de omschrijving van het soort programma, verstrekt door het station.

31 Instellen Klok en Datum Handmatig instellen van de Datum Let op dat de radio aanstaat (bijv. luisteren naar DAB/FM Radio). Houd de Info/Menu knop (Ref.6) ingedrukt. Door op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) te drukken kunt u uw keuze selecteren. Kies SET TIME/DATE en druk op de Enter knop (Ref.5). Het jaartal zal knipperen op de display. Druk op de Vorige (Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref9) knop tot het juiste jaartal op de display verschijnt. Om te bevestigen, drukt u op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). De maand zal knipperen op de display. Druk op de Vorige (Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref9) knop tot de juiste maand op de display verschijnt. Om te bevestigen, drukt u op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). De datum zal knipperen op de display. Druk op de Vorige (Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref9) knop tot de juiste datum op de display verschijnt. Om te bevestigen, drukt u op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5).

32 Handmatig instellen van de Tijd De tijd kan gelijk na het instellen van de datum worden ingesteld. Het uur zal knipperen op de display. Druk op de Vorige (Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref9) knop tot het juiste uur op de display verschijnt. Om te bevestigen, drukt u op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). De minuten zullen knipperen op de display. Druk op de Vorige (Ref.7) of Volgende (Ref.9) knop tot de juiste minuten op de display verschijnen. Om te bevestigen, drukt u op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). De tijd is nu ingesteld.

33 Instellen dubbel alarm Instellen Alarm1/Alarm2 Let op dat de radio aanstaat (bijv. luisteren naar DAB/FM Radio). Houd de Info/Menu knop (Ref.6) ingedrukt. Door op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) te drukken kunt u uw keuze selecteren. Kies SET ALARM1 en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5). Om het alarm aan te zetten, drukt u op de Volgende knop (Ref.9) zodat ON knippert en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. De uren van het alarm knipperen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om het uur te wijzigen en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om de minuten te wijzigen en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om te selecteren hoe vaak u het alarm wilt instellen: Dagelijks/Weekdagen/Weekenddagen/eenmalig en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om te selecteren welk geluid u wilt instellen: Zoemer/DAB/FM, en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om het volume van het alarm in te stellen en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Om Alarm2 in te stellen, volgt u bovenstaande instructies, maar kiest u Alarm 2 Set.

34 Geluid Alarm, Snooze en dubbele USB poort. Geluid Alarm Indien het alarm is ingesteld op DAB/FM modus, zal het een DAB of FM station weergeven. Indien er geen signaal is zal het automatisch de zoemer weergeven. Indien er twee alarmen zijn ingesteld, en ALARM 1 gaat af terwijl ALARM 2 ook afgaat, zal ALARM 1 automatisch worden uitgeschakeld. Het alarm zal 90 minuten afgaan voordat het zich automatisch uitschakelt. Snooze/Uitschakelen alarm indien deze afgaat Indien het alarm afgaat, druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) waarna het alarm na 9 minuten opnieuw zal afgaan. U kunt de snooze iedere 9 minuten tot maximaal en uur gebruiken. Indien u de snooze heeft geactiveerd voor Alarm 1, zal dit ook voor Alarm 2 gebeuren. Om het alarm volledig uit te schakelen, drukt u op de Stand-by/Modus knop (Ref.1). Dubbele USB poort Opladen van uw telefoon Beide USB poorten (Ref.10&11) hebben een uitgang vermogen van 5V/2A. Zodra u verbinding maakt via een USB kabel met de USB poort(ref.10&11), zal uw telefoon of tablet worden opgeladen. U kunt geen muziek beluisteren door middel van een USB verbinding; deze kunt u uitsluitend gebruiken voor het opladen van een telefoon of tablet.

35 Overige functies Sleep functie instellen Door middel van deze functie kunt u uw radio instellen om na een ingestelde tijd automatisch uit te schakelen, maximaal tot 90 minuten. Terwijl de radio aan staat, houdt u de Info/Menu knop (Ref.6). Gebruik de Vorige (7) en Volgende (9) knop om uw keuze te selecteren. Kies SET SLEEP en druk op de Enter/Snooze knop (Ref.5) om te bevestigen. Druk op de Volgende en Vorige knoppen (Ref.9/7) om te kiezen uit: UIT, 10min, 20min, 30min, 40min, 50min, 60min, 70min, 80min of 90min. Fonctionnement de base Branchez la fiche dans la prise murale et insérez le connecteur à l arrière de l appareil indiqué DC IN (Ref.13) Mettez l appareil sous tension à l arrière ON/OFF (Ref. 12) Déployez l antenne télescopique entièrement (Ref. 15) de manière que l antenne peut tourner librement pour une réception de signal FM meilleure. Une fois que la recherche est terminée, la radio sélectionne la première station trouvée. 52 Sonnerie Alarme, Répétition de l alarme et Port USB Double Sonnerie Alarme Si l alarme est réglée en mode «DAB/FM» la station DAB/FM sonnera. S il n y a pas de signal, l appareil se place automatiquement en mode «SIGNAL SONORE». Lorsque deux alarmes sont été préréglées, du moment que l Alarme 1 retentit et l Alarme 2 commence a retentir, l Alarme 1 sera désactivée automatiquement. L alarme retentit 90 minutes, elle sera automatiquement désactivée au bout de 90 minutes. Répétition de l Alarme/Désactiver l Alarme Lorsque l alarme retentit, appuyez sur le bouton «Entrer/Répétition de l alarme»(enter/snooze) (Ref.5) pour une répétition après 9 minutes. Vous pouvez répéter jusqu à un heure. Si l Alarme 1 est répétée, l Alarme 2 est aussi répétée. Pour désactiver l alarme appuyez sr le bouton Veille/Mode (Standby/Mode) (Ref.1). Ports USB Double charger votre portable Les deux ports USB (Ref.10 & 11) pour une sortie de 5V/2A. En branchant un câble USB dans le port USB (Ref.10 & 11) vous pouvez charger votre smartphone ou tablette.
