Buiten kijf staat dat we voorop willen blijven lopen als internationaal zakencentrum, met onze bereikbaarheid, voorzieningen en dienstverlening. Waarover bent u tevreden, wat kan beter? U liet het ons vorig najaar weten in het klanttevredenheidsonderzoek, waarvoor onze welgemeende dank. In februari koppelen we de resultaten aan u terug. Eén van de verbeterpunten blijkt de kwaliteit van technische diensten. Vanaf januari maken wij hierin een verbeterslag met een nieuwe partner: Cofely. MyWTC.com Vorig jaar hebben we tevens de basis gelegd voor een verbeterde zakelijk communicatie met onze huurders. Dit voorjaar koppelen we de resultaten en vervolgacties aan u terug. How satisfied are you? This past autumn, WTC commissioned USP to carry out a customer satisfaction survey. The key question was: How satisfied are you with your office space, the facilities, the services and the communication? Het fluisterstille duo levert jaarlijks naar verwachting circa 000 kwh groene energie, die wordt gebruikt voor de gebouwinstallaties. De windturbines worden gefinancierd door de eigenaar van het WTC, ING Real Estate, en draaien twee jaar op proef. Hun prestaties worden vergeleken met de opbrengst van zonnepanelen. Hoe goed de windturbines presteren, is binnenkort zichtbaar via de site MyWTCAmsterdam.com. Wind turbines on the roof of WTC In November 00, two wind turbines were installed on the roof of the H tower. Het percentage ongescheiden afval bedroeg %! Dat is nog maar % onder dan het landelijk gemiddelde. Met de hulp van alle WTCbewoners kunnen we nog veel beter. 3 January 0 Art & Music WTC News Gypsy muziek Gezichten met een verhaal Op dinsdag januari opent Pigalle een nieuw seizoen van lunchconcerten in de Centrale Hal. Pigalle en hun gastspeler Hermine Deurlo zijn muzikanten met liefde voor gypsy jazz. Django Reinhardt was in de eerste helft van de vorige eeuw de grondlegger van het genre; een rusteloze zoeker naar nieuwe richtingen in de muziek. Net als hun inspirator, vernieuwt Pigalle zich steeds. Want, is hun motto: stilstand in de jazz is dodelijk, en wie zit er nu op dode muziek te wachten? Tot en met februari exposeert Colin Bloom () in de Centrale Hal. Deze gerijpte kunstenaar leefde, reisde en exposeerde in de Verenigde Staten, mediterraan Europa en Israël. Het accountantskantoor Deloitte en OVG Projectontwikkeling gaven het startsein voor de ontwikkeling van het nieuwe kantoor van Deloitte en AKD advocaten. Het kantoor meet m en komt tegenover de VU. Medio 0 is het klaar. Deloitte en AKD investeren ermee in de eigen toekomst, en in die van de Zuidas. Wethouder Gehrels van Economische Zaken van Amsterdam feliciteerde beide ondernemingen met deze stap. Impuls De komst van het kantoor van Deloitte en AKD aan de Zuidas betekent een nieuwe impuls voor het gebied qua werkgelegenheid. Het bevestigt dat er vraag is naar hoogwaardige kantoorlocaties waar universiteiten en de top van het bedrijfsleven elkaar ontmoeten. Daarnaast ziet OVG een groeiende vraag naar gebouwen die het Nieuwe Werken faciliteren. Dergelijke kantoren zijn ontmoetingsplekken, waar connectivity & mobility centraal staan. Station Zuid Station Zuid wordt steeds drukker. Er is daarom gestart met een aantal werkzaamheden die het station toegankelijker maken. Weather permitting, we always like to sit by the flower boxes. In the evening I sometimes have a quick snack at Wagamama, that hardly takes time and then I m on time for a performance in the centre of town. The best place in Zuidas The H towers of the WTC, a wonderful combination of steel and glass. From above you see the train station, the motorway, Schiphol airport none of these places stand still for even one moment. I also find the Rock fascinating because I haven t decided yet whether I like it or not. Most unforgettable moment This is a village with the soul of a village. Three years ago there was a gigantic storm. The trains stopped running and on Zuidplein you were blown away. That created amazing solidarity. What do people say about your working here? This is where it s happening and it is a nice place to be in. Zuidas is after all our City. What can be improved in Zuidas? Station Zuid is not very attractive and there is constantly rebuilding everywhere. Furthermore, cycling is nearly impossible without having accidents. Bicycles that are not parked properly are always confiscated but wrecks remain on the streets for years. Dream job I have one already, and you can t plan the future. Tell us something surprising about yourself I m crazy about sailing. Be it a lifeboat through the canals, a ferry to Terschelling or even a little ferry to North Amsterdam that s it for me. Sindsdien voorziet deze klassekleermaker het mannelijk deel van de Zuidas van op maat gesneden pakken. De 000e wordt binnenkort afgeleverd. Wordt dat feestelijk aangekleed? Eigenaar Rafaël Antón van Wezel lacht. Kleine correctie: SLFMD kleedt niet feestelijk. Wél stijlvol. Elk pak of overhemd dat bij SLFMD wordt besteld is uniek. De klant kiest een model uit verschillende voorbeelden en test ter plekke comfort en pasvorm. Ook de stoffen kiest de klant zelf, tot aan de voering en het stiksel toe. Elk detail, zegt Rafaël, hoe klein ook, draagt bij aan het eindproduct. De werkorder gaat vervolgens via de elektronische snelweg naar het productieatelier waar ambachtelijke kleermakers aan het werk gaan. Tussen bestellen en leveren zit slechts vijf weken. Men only Steeds vaker zie je iemand met de bruine kledinghoes van SLFMD door het WTC lopen. Straks dus voor de duizendste keer. Tevreden klanten komen terug, zegt Rafaël. 8 January 0 Day Shift WTC News Schoonmaker met saxapeal Hoe veelzijdig het WTC is, bleek maar weer op het feest van oktober vorig jaar, tijdens de World Talent Show. Onder de artiesten van eigen WTC-bodem nam A cleaner with sax appeal Steven Keizers een memorabele plaats in. De -jarige schoonmaker werkt bij EW Facility Services. Hij boent en poetst al vier jaar toiletten en kantoren in het WTC. The World Talent Show on October th last year showed us just how multifaceted Op het podium hanteerde hij met evenveel verve de saxofoon. Toen ik eenmaal the WTC really is. One of the most memorable artists was our own WTC employee, begon, ging het vanzelf. Steven Keizers. The -year-old cleaner works for the EW Facility Services. For the last four years he has been scrubbing and cleaning bathrooms and offices in the WTC. On the stage he demonstrated just as much fervour for the saxophone. Once I got started, it just flowed out of me. Challenge Steven is not someone who likes stress. That s why he likes is job where steadily, in his own tempo he gets the job done. Yet it seemed like a nice idea - and very challenging - to participate in the World Talent Show. I ve been playing saxophone for the last three years; an emotional instrument with which you can express a lot, he tells. Candy Dulfer and Ben Webster are his great idols. Jazz and blues are both my favourite music. Spectacular show Stylishly dressed in a black shirt and a white jacket, with a playful reference to the James Bond tuxedo, Steven conquered the audience with the melody from Licence to Kill. I was actually very nervous, admits the WTC star. But I practiced a great deal and spoke with Angela Groothuizen beforehand. That helped. I heard how she announced me and that sounded so good that I thought: here we go. Together with two professional dancers, Steven gave a spectacular performance. I saw that people enjoyed my saxophone playing. That was fantastic. I would love to do it again. Uitdaging Steven is geen man die stress opzoekt. Daarom houdt hij van zijn baan waarin hij gestaag, in zijn eigen tempo, de klus klaart. Toch leek het hem leuk - en een hele uitdaging - om mee te doen met de World Talent Show. Ik zag dat mensen genoten van mijn spel. Dat was super. Ik zou het zó weer doen. Back to business Na alle complimenten - mijn collega s hadden geen idee dat ik zo goed kon spelen - is het inmiddels ook voor Steven back to business. Al geniet hij uiteraard na van zijn status als bekende WTC-er ; veel mensen herkennen hem. Steven begint vroeg in de ochtend en heeft de kantoren spik en span tegen de tijd dat de meeste medewerkers arriveren. Om.0 uur zit zijn shift er op. Ik vind het leuk dat ik in zoveel verschillende kantoren kom, zegt Steven. En ik voel me een beetje gastheer van het WTC. Mensen vragen me regelmatig de weg naar een kantoor. Als het kan zeg ik dan: loop maar even mee, ik laat het wel even zien. Many of people now recognise him, because of his status as a famous WTC employee, which he obviously relishes. Steven starts his day early in the morning and gets all the offices spick-and-span by the time most of the employees arrive. At.0 his shift is finished. I like working in so many different offices, says Steven. I feel somewhat like a guest of WTC. People often ask me how to get to a particular office. If possible, I answer: Follow me and I ll show you where it is.
