3 ScreenLine Integrated blind systems Geïntegreerde zonweringsystemen In a ScreenLine system, the blind (venetian, pleated or roller) is encapsulated within two glass panes, i.e. in a double glazing unit. The movement of the blind, for manual or motorised systems, does not compromise the insulating properties of the double glazing unit and is performed in a totally sealed environment. The exclusive ScreenLine characteristics ensure total protection against dirt, dust or weather conditions, and therefore blinds do not require any maintenance. The magnetic components have an almost indefinite life cycle having a loss of magnetic attraction of around 2% per 100 years. The wide product choice and versatility of operation make ScreenLine blind systems suitable for all types of framing systems. ScreenLine V95, when used in association with selective glass, ranks in the best performance class, which can only normally be reached by use of external shading systems. 5 The Technology De technologie Use of selective glass reflects inwards the dispersion of energy absorbed by a painted slat, thus increasing the temperature of the inner glass and, consequently, the heat gain. To solve this problem, Pellinindustrie has developed a new type of slat, called V95. An interference filter deposited by means of a PVD process (Physical Vapour Deposition) improves the reflection of the slat, thus providing it with a low-emissivity effect to the long wave infra-red radiation. Door het gebruik van zonwerende beglazing wordt de energie die door een geverfde lamel geabsorbeerd wordt, naar binnen terug gereflecteerd, hierdoor neemt de temperatuur van de binnenruit en, als gevolg daarvan, de zontoetreding toe. Om dit probleem op te lossen heeft Pellinindustrie een nieuw type lamel ontwikkeld, de V95. Een interferentiefilter aangebracht door middel van een PVD procedé (Physical Vapour Deposition) verbetert de reflectie van de lamel, waardoor deze een lage emissie effect op de langgolvige infraroodstraling krijgt. 7 Calibrated reflection Aangepaste reflectie The wavelengths in which solar radiation is most intense are those that a typical selective glass diffuses inside the building. The coating of slat V95 has been calibrated in order to reflect such wavelengths in the best way. De golflengtes waarbij zonstraling het meest intens is, zijn de golflengtes die door een normale zonwerende beglazing het gebouw in verspreid worden.
