20 Hoofdstuk 1 1 Inleiding, doel en toelating Introduction, objectives and admission Naast de algemene criteria voor toelating (zie algemeen gedeelte van deze OER) gelden voor studenten van de vijf Research Master opleidingen eveneens de additionele bepalingen in deze bijlage. Bij tegenstrijdigheden tussen de algemene en de additionele bepalingen, gelden de additionele bepalingen. In alle situaties waarin de algemene en de additionele bepalingen niet voorzien, beslist de Examencommissie van de Research Master opleidingen. In addition to the general admission criteria (see general section of this TER) the additional provisions in this Appendix are applicable as well to students of the five Research Master programs. If the additional provisions contradict or are inconsistent with the general provisions, the additional provisions must prevail. In all situations for which the general and the additional provisions do not provide, the decision lies with the Examination Board of the Research Master programs. 25 Hoofdstuk Introduction, objectives and admission 1.2 Toelatingseisen per Research Master opleiding Admission requirements per Research Master program Health Sciences Health Sciences Toelating tot de opleiding is mogelijk voor: Kandidaten met een Bachelor diploma in een discipline die relevant is voor de gezondheidswetenschappen zoals geneeskunde, gezondheidswetenschappen, (medische) biologie, scheikunde, pharmacie, bewegingswetenschappen, sociologie, psychologie, voeding, tandheelkunde en diergeneeskunde. Aanvullend moeten kandidaten affiniteit met onderzoek hebben, zoals getoond in zijn of haar motivatiebrief. Kandidaten moeten aantonen dat zij aan de selectie-eisen voldoen voor geschreven en gesproken Engels. Internationale kandidaten uit landen waar Engels niet de officiële taal is, die geen Engelstalig middelbaar onderwijs en universitair onderwijs hebben genoten, moeten een TOEFL of IELTS test afleggen. Het resultaat van de TOEFL test moet minimaal 575 zijn (paper based) met deelscores van minimaal 57, of een score van 232 (computer based) met deelscores van minimaal 23. Een minimum score van 90 moet de kandidaat behalen voor de internet test met een minimale deelscore van 22. Het resultaat van de IELTS test moet minimaal een 6.5 zijn met deelscores van minimaal 6.0. Nederlandse kandidaten hoeven een dergelijke test niet af te leggen. Admission to the program is possible for: Applicants with a Bachelor degree in a discipline relevant to the health sciences, such as medicine, health sciences, (medical) biology, chemistry, pharmacy, human movement sciences, sociology, psychology, nutrition, dentistry and veterinary medicine. In addition applicants must have affinity with research, as demonstrated in his or her motivation letter. Applicants must prove they meet the eligibility criteria for written and spoken English. Foreign applicants from non- English-speaking-countries, who have not followed Englishtaught secondary education and university education must have taken a TOEFL or an IELTS test. The result of the TOEFL test should be a minimum score of 575 (paper based) with scale scores minimally 57, or a score of 232 (computer based) with scale scores minimally 23.
