1 Licht zwemparadijs Paradis de baignade Swimming pool paradise Toen de bewoners van deze oogstrelende woning aan de Vlaamse kust beslisten om een luxueus binnenzwembad te laten aanleggen, hadden ze één belangrijk probleem: de compacte oppervlakte van de woonst maakte het onmogelijk om er in die hoedanigheid een fraai zwembad in te kunnen voorzien. De eigenaars trokken daarom naar Lloyd Hamilton, behorend tot Groep Pouleyn, met de vraag om hun woning op een stijlvolle en elegante manier uit te breiden. Bij ons waren ze aan het juiste adres, vertelt Christine Pouleyn van Groep Pouleyn. Niet enkel de kapelvormige uitbouw is van onze hand, maar we hebben eveneens een hele vleugel uitgetekend. Toch lijkt het alsof de hele woning er altijd zo geweest is. Tussen de delen die er vroeger al stonden en de nieuwe delen is met het blote oog geen verschil merkbaar. Zowel aan de binnenzijde als aan de buitenzijde vloeien oud en nieuw naadloos in elkaar over. Niet enkel de dakpannen en de gevelstenen lopen door, maar ook de ramen van het oude gedeelte komen terug in de nieuwe vleugel. Lorsqu ils ont décidé d aménager une luxueuse piscine intérieure dans leur maison, les habitants de cette ravissante demeure de la côte belge ont été confrontés à un problème important : les dimensions relativement compactes de l habitation ne permettaient pas d envisager l aménagement d une piscine à la hauteur de leur projet. Ils se sont donc adressés à Lloyd Hamilton, une filiale du Groupe Pouleyn, en lui demandant d agrandir leur maison avec style et élégance. «En s adressant ici, ils ont frappé à la bonne porte», constate Christine Pouleyn du Groupe Pouleyn. «Au-delà de l avant-corps en forme de chapelle, c est toute l aile que nous avons dessinée. Pourtant la maison paraît former un ensemble depuis toujours. À l œil nu, il est impossible de détecter la moindre différence entre les parties qui existaient auparavant et celles qui ont été récemment construites. C est toute l équipe professionnelle qui mérite des applaudissements pour l accomplissement de cet exploit, tant les vendeurs, qui sont parvenus à convaincre les habitants à l aide d une esquisse dessinée à main levée, que les dessinateurs, qui ont scrupuleusement tracé le projet, sans oublier la production et les hommes de métier, qui ont assuré le montage final.» À l extérieur comme à l intérieur, l ancien et le nouveau se fondent imperceptiblement l un dans l autre. Les deux parties arborent non seulement les mêmes tuiles et les mêmes pierres de façade, mais aussi des fenêtres en tous points semblables. «C est un bel exemple de la manière dont Lloyd Hamilton et notre maison mère Pouleyn, appartenant tous deux au Groupe Pouleyn, peuvent travailler main dans la main», souligne Christine. «Cette réalisation illustre bien comment Lloyd Hamilton conçoit ses orangeries mais aussi comment Pouleyn exécute et place la menuiserie qu'il fabrique entre autres des portes et des fenêtres.» When the owners of this delightful home on the Flemish coast decided to have a luxurious indoor pool built, they had one major problem: the compact surface area of the house made it impossible to fit in an impressive swimming pool. So the owners turned to Lloyd Hamilton, part of the Pouleyn Group, with a request for a stylish and elegant extension to their home. They came to the right address, says Christine Pouleyn of the Pouleyn Group. We did not just create the chapel-shaped extension; we also drew a whole wing. It looks exactly as if the whole house has always been this way. There is no absolutely visible difference between the old and the news parts of the building. Such a special project is a real feather in our cap, for the whole professional team, from the sales staff who persuaded the owners with a manual drawn sketch, through the draughtsmen who drew everything meticulously, to the production team and the builders who produced the final result. Both inside and out, old and new flow seamlessly together. Not only are the roof tiles and the facing brick the same, but even the window design in the old building is repeated in the new wing. An excellent example of how Lloyd Hamilton and our parent company Pouleyn, both part of the Pouleyn group, can work together on equal terms, says Christine. So this is not only an illustration of how we at Lloyd Hamilton build conservatories, but also of how we at Pouleyn can produce and place all kinds of joinery, including windows and doors.
