Vierentwintig kinderen in het nauw Achtergrond Het was ergens in april 2013 dat Rajin, Sushant en Wiel een bezoek brachten aan een huis voor vierentwintig kinderen met een ernstige verstandelijke beperking in Palanchok,Dhulikhel Kavre district. Dhulikhel ligt twee dagreizen van de hoofdstad Kathmandu. Vanaf de weg was het een kwartiertje lopen naar het huis. De ligging was grandioos, de huisvesting, ook naar Nepalese normen, bar en boos. Een toilet en een douche voor deze vierentwintig kinderen, een primitieve keuken waar ook gegeten werd, terwijl de rook de kinderen naar buiten deed vluchten. De slaapzaal was te klein. Overdag gaan de kinderen naar een leegstand klaslokaal een kwartier lopen: kaarsen maken en enveloppen plakken. Op verschillende plekken in Nepal wordt op particulier initiatief kinderen met een dergelijke beperking opgevangen. Van de overheid is geen heil te verwachten. Deze kinderen zijn afkomstig uit een paar dorpen rond het centrumdorp Nala, ongeveer 30 kilometer van Kathmandu. De meeste kinderen die in het huis verblijven kunnen niet in de dorpen blijven wonen, (agressief, naakt rondlopen enzovoort).de begeleiding is weliswaar minimaal maar van een grote toewijding, zoals we konden zien. Tien minuten lopen van het kinderhuis ligt een groot stuk land, geschonken door een vermogende Australiër. Op deze grond moet de nieuwbouw komen. During these projects I and my team have visited a lot of places. The place I remember most is Palanchok. With an invitation we were in the pace called Palanchok eastern part of Kavrepalanchok district Nepal. There was a special school for mentally challenged students ( Mentally Challenged Rehabilitation Center (MCRC) was the given name for that school. They have a small old house in rent as a hostel for those challenged students. A well discipline environment attracted me a lot. We spend a night there with those mentally ill students and what I feel is that they have no enough space for all the students. I wished I could do something for them. The following morning I

2 talked with the chairman of that rehabilitation center. He requested me to help with some money to build a building for those students. Then he gave me some papers which explain all the history and the future of his center. Later I gave him a hope that I can help him a small with my Hatemalo Nepal organization. Controle Jaarlijks bezoek, controle op rekeningen, foto rapportage, eigen waarneming van Nepalese medewerkers van stichting Hatemalo Duurzaamheid Nepal kent stichtingen die zich het lot van kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking aantrekken. Deze kinderen hebben het zeer moeilijk in de dorpen waar ze wonen. Ze komen vaak tot agressief en buitensporig gedrag. De kwaliteit van leven is in het geding. Er zal een klimaat geschapen moeten worden dat de overheid in ziet zorg te dragen voor deze kinderen. Verrassend is dat de kinderen in het hierboven vermelde huis tot aardige resultaten komen, wanneer ze daartoe gestimuleerd worden in hun toch zeer schamel ingerichte werkplaats. Begroting Bouw: Inrichting: (zie bijlage) Uitvoering Met de uitvoering kan begonnen worden wanneer een sponsor zich garant gesteld heeft en nadat van de kant van het bestuur/directie een gedetailleerd plan gereed ligt Verslaglegging en verantwoording Aan de sponsor wordt tussentijds verslag gedaan. Na realisering volgt nogmaals een verslag, met de eindafrekening en met foto s. Extra Het te bouwen pand kan de naam krijgen van degene die de bouw sponsort of een groot gedeelte of de naam van iemand die de sponsor na aan het hart ligt Bijlage Date: 2013/09/16 Respected all, Mentally Challenged Rehabilitation Center (MCRC) Nepal is a social organization lies in the Kavrepalanchok dist. of Nepal. It lies 70 KM far from the capital Kathmandu. The

3 organization was established in 2001 A.D. Being an educated part of country it is our duty to create the equality between all the peoples in our society. There are many peoples who are mentally disable. The society thinks them as the third class man. The rights of these mentally disable people are not in act. So our organization help specially to the children who have this problem. The picture above includes some of our students and teachers. The old house in background is the hostel for these students. The hostel is too old and is not sufficient for all to manage. So hereby we have decided to build a new hostel house for these students in our own land presented by an Australian citizen. The map architect is designed for the new building. The engineering architect is as follow: This block is for hostel and administration office. Internal structure is as follow for block A.

6 This is the overall design for building. We have not the exact estimation from the engineer until now but the rough estimation says we need about 5,000,000 NRs. for this building. So we request you to help us as much as you can. The other necessary equipment is as followings.
