De definitieve deelnemerslijst is bijgevoegd. De vlucht is geboekt en intussen werken wij aan het vervolmaken van het programma. Voor jullie staat het volgende te doen: Geld overmaken naar de VBT: De reiskosten bedragen 2100, -- voor leden. 2200,-- voor introducés en voor wie een eenpersoonskamer heeft besteld (zie deelnemerslijst) 200,-- extra. Graag dit bedrag zo spoedig mogelijk overmaken op rekening van de VBT. Er is reeds een hoop geld voorgeschoten voor de vlucht. Visum regelen: Voor Cuba geldt een visumplicht. Wij kunnen terecht met een toeristenvisum. De kosten daarvoor bedragen 22,-. Daarbij komen afhandelingskosten en portokosten als je met een visumbureau in zee gaat. Je paspoort dient bij aankomst in Cuba nog minstens een half jaar geldig te zijn. Regel dus zo nodig een nieuw en geef ons je nieuwe paspoortnummer door! Via of is een visum te regelen. Inentingen halen: Voor Cuba zijn geen inentingen verplicht. Wel worden er een aantal aangeraden, zoals DTP en hepatitis A. Overleg uiterlijk twee weken tevoren, liefst nog wat eerder, met de plaatselijke GGD wat voor jou nodig is. Valuta meenemen: De lokale valuta van Cuba is de Cubaanse Convertibele Peso ( CUC ). Bij banken, internationale hotels en sommige winkels kunnen Euro s en andere valuta worden gewisseld in CUCs. Aangeraden wordt om Euro s voor CUC s te wisselen of om CUC s via de credit card op te nemen. Het inwisselen van Amerikaanse dollars is mogelijk, alhoewel daarop naast normale bankcommissies een additionele commissie van 10% verschuldigd is. Je kunt niet pinnen in Cuba! Amerikaanse Credit Cards of uigegeven door aan Amerikaanse banken gelieerde instellingen worden niet geaccepteerd! Reisadvies Cuba in de gaten houden: en allerhande overige relevante informatie.

3 - 3 - Vlucht: We vliegen met Air France vanaf luchthaven Düsseldorf en vervolgens via Parijs. De rechtstreekse Martinair vluchten waren helaas volgeboekt. Voor alle vluchten geldt dat ze zondag 18 mei vertrekken vanaf Havana, maar pas de volgende dag in Europa aankomen. Houdt daar rekening mee. Check in, Welcome meeting and welcome cocktail. Second Day (Friday 09/05/08) Transfer to Maqueta de La Habana Director and Planning center. 10:00 Lecture La evolución de la ciudad (The evolution of the city), by Dr. Architect Mario Coyula Transfer to U.N.E.A.C and panoramic site seeing by El Malecón and the north side of El Vedado neighbourhood 15:00 Lecture La Habana, Siglo XX (Havana city, 20 th century). Architect Eduardo Luis Rodríguez. 16:45 Panoramic Site Seeing of Cementerio de Colón (Havana City Cemetery) and panoramic city tour by the south side of El Vedado neighbourhood. The tour includes views of National Library, America Arias Hospital and Monument to Jose Marti at La Plaza de la Revolución (Revolution Square). Dinner at the hotel. Panoramic site seeing of the neighbourhoods of Miramar and Siboney. Visits to Santa Rita church, the hotels of Miramar, the Higher Arts Institute and the Science Pole. (In the case of Science Pole the entrance to building it is not included due to specific regulations of the centre) Dinner at the hotel. Fourth Day (Sunday 11/05/08) Breakfast at the hotel: Departure to Viñales including stop at El Mirador, Mural de la Prehistoria and visit to La cueva del indio (The Indian s Cave), tour along the cave by boat. Visit to Las terrazas Comunity. Check in at La Moka Hotel. Dinner at the hotel Free night. Fifth Day (Monday 12/05/08) Visit to Las terrazas Town and to old places where they will have the opportunity to know about Coffee process in old times. Transfer back to Havana City. Check in at Habana Libre Hotel. Dinner at the Hotel Sixth Day (Tuesday 13/05/08) Transfer to C.E.N.C.R.E.M (National Centre for Monuments Conservation and Restoration. Lecture: El centro histórico. Patrimonio de la Humanidad (The Historical centre. World Heritage ), by Dr. Isabel León. Walking Tour by Old Havana Historical Centre Tour by the east side of Havana City. Visit to the monument of El Cristo de La Habana. 15:30 Lecture. La arquitectura en el período revolucionario (Architecture in times of the Revolution), by Lohania Aruca / Mario Coyula. Transfer to Playas del Este. Time at disposition to enjoy the beach until 19:30

Dinner at the Hotel Seventh Day (Wednesday 14/05/08) Visit to the Arts Museum. 15:00 Lecture: La enseñanza de arquitectura en Cuba (The teaching of Architecture in Cuba), by Architect Isabel Rigol. Panoramic site seeing of I.S.P.J.A.E. (Polytechnical University), Parque Lenin and National Botanic Garden. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner at The Hotel. Eight Day (Thursday 15/05/08) Lecture: Arquitectura y turismo en Cuba (Architecture and tourism in Cuba) by Horacio León. Transfer to Varadero Check in at the Hotel Internacional. Dinner at the Hotel. Ninth Day (Friday 16/05/08) Site seeing of the whole tourist area with a local tour guide. Transfer back to the hotel and time free to enjoy the beach. Meals according to the All Inclusive Plan. Tenth Day (Saturday 17/05/08) Free day at the hotel. All Inclusive Plan Eleventh Day (Sunday 18/05/08) Breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Time at disposition. Transfer to José Marti International Airport of Havana. Flight back to the Netherlands. End of the programme and services.
