4 Grondwater: Onderzoekstechnieken Passieve Staalname: drie soorten werden in het Metrocap project en in het proefproject in Frankrijk getest: positief. Dus zal ook in proefproject in Utrecht en in een nieuwe opdracht in Vlaanderen getest worden PDB Ceramic dosimeters Sorbicells Direct Push Technology: rapport wordt nu besproken met partners. Filmpje van Ineris gerealiseerd Analyse lange termijn monitoring: hoe lang moet je monitoren, wanneer mag je stoppen. onderzocht in Frankrijk met uitwisseling van data uit Utrecht. Eindrapport normaal deze lente.

5 Bodem Onderzoekstechnieken Bodem & bodemlucht monitoring & -staalname: samenvatting van codes en ervaringen verschillende partners + testen in proefproject van Frankrijk Binnenluchtmetingen Samenvatting van codes en ervaringen verschillende partners + testen van modellen op verschillende proefprojecten. Risico-analyse overzicht van bestaande systemen en terugkoppeling ervaringen van partners. Rapport wordt voorzien deze lente. Gebiedsgericht onderzoek: gestart vanuit het FOKS project: strategie voor bepalen en rangschikken van bronnen, getest en teruggekoppeld in proefprojecten Stuttgart en Utrecht

6 Saneringstechnieken Bronaanpak: Getest in een proefproject ofwel via literatuur en enquêtes bij verschillende partners. Van deze technieken worden codes (her/ge)schreven nano/micro ijzer injecties (Inv1): nieuw bestek voor code in situ thermische reiniging (Inv 5), Biowasmachine (Inv 7). ISCO: code nu voor FB naar partners (+ met cases: knelpunten + succesfactoren) Pluimaanpak: het ATTENA protocol voor het monitoren van natuurlijke attenuatie wordt getest in Inv4. Het project zoekt naar een eenvoudige analyse instrument om het afbraak mechanisme te voorspellen. Indirect (Mass Flux) Direct: nieuw moleculair biologische methode gebaseerd o Q- PCR of ARN. Ook in Utrecht en Stuttgart lopen hierover studies.

7 Saneringstechnieken Gebiedsgerichte sanering: saneringsaanpak die verder kijkt dan pure technische oplossingen, die vertrekt vanuit het gebied. Studies en verslagen workshops zijn te downloaden op

8 Socio-economic aspects Economisch Aspecten De ervaringen in Vlaanderen en Nederland met het opzetten van sectorfondsen wordt gedeeld met de partners. Een berekingsmodel voor gebiedsgerichte kosten en LT monitoring wordt in Nederland geëvalueerd. In Vlaanderen is onze analyse van de kostprijs afgerond In Stuttgart werd een studie over brownfields afgerond. Via twee workshops in Utrecht en Antwerpen werd ook de discussie geopend met ruimtelijke planners en investeerders over herontwikkeling als oplossing voor bodemverontreiniging. Juridische Aspecten: Utrecht heeft een studie gedaan rond de Europese mogelijkheden voor een gebiedsgerichte aanpak

9 Socio-economic aspects Communicatie en risico perceptie Een sociologische studie gedaan in Gent zal de basis vormen voor praktische communicatiedraaiboeken en online communicatietoepassingen Geïntegreerde aanpak Doorheen de verschillende workshops en projectvergaderingen werken we meer en meer naar de ontwikkeling van onze geïntegreerde aanpak. Doel is om alle ervaringen en kennis uit de verschillende onderzoeken samen te brengen tot een draaiboek voor duurzame stadsontwikkeling die rekening houdt met bodem- en grondwaterverontreiniging en die er eventueel de oplossing voor kan zijn.

Charactarization techniques Demonstration and validation of an innovative method for the detection and characterisation of the source zone of polluction with VOCl, including sinking layers Selected techniques:(inv 42 K ) ENISSA MIP = (MAVA) technique that allows measuring individual components (Quantitative as well as qualitative) until ca. 10 µg/l. With this technique a full characterization of pollution (intervals of 30 cm) is possible and a large amount of data can be collected in short time. Ribbon NAPL sampler =(URS) technique that can give precise information on the vertical spreading of pure product. Investment is finished. Outputs: Demonstration during seminar on Innovative techniques in investigation (Kortrijk, 17/05/11) Detailled report on the investments (Dutch + English summary) Included as examples (2-3 p) in the technical guide on Direct Push Technology (action 5.2)

15 6. Bio-process monitoring Pilot site in Utrecht (Nl) The well network consists of 90 x 4 wells near the Utrecht city center. Wells are installed in first & second acquifer,downstreams from the center. A report on the insights on biological area oriented approach is ready. Now the fieldwork is ongoing.
