4 4 Piet Boon Piet Boon (1958) begon zijn loopbaan als aannemer. Nu, 25 jaar later, is hij een van de meest spraakmakende Nederlandse ontwerpers. Samen met zijn vrouw Karin leidt hij een ontwerpstudio, een team van architecten en ontwerpers. Zijn kracht ligt in het maken van een totaalconcept voor particulieren en ondernemingen zoals projectontwikkelaars. Daarnaast ontwikkelt en ontwerpt Piet Boon Studio voor derden nieuwe producten. Piet Boon is in de eerste plaats een designer die zich het liefst met alle facetten van een project bezighoudt. Uitgangspunt voor zijn ontwerpen is dat ze, behalve hun doordachte vormgeving, ook tijdloos en duurzaam moeten zijn. Een herkenbaar element is zijn liefde voor pure, eerlijke, natuurlijke materialen en uitgesproken stoer kleurgebruik. De Piet Boon stijl is basic chic, met aandacht voor comfort en detail. Piet Boon (1958) began his career as a building contractor. Now, 25 years later, he is one of the most high-profile Dutch designers. Together with his wife Karin, he manages a design studio, a team of architects and designers. His strength lies in the creation of a total concept for private persons and companies such as project developers, while the Piet Boon Studio also develops and designs new products for third parties. Piet Boon is first and foremost a designer who wants to be involved in all aspects of a project. The principle behind his designs is that they are not only ingenious but must also be ageless and sustainable. A recognisable element is his love for pure, honest, natural materials and a distinctively robust use of colours. The Piet Boon style is basic chic, with attention for comfort and details.

What I like so much about the line that we ve developed for Formani is that you can see straight away what a fitting s function is - whether a handle is intended to be pulled or pushed.
