The Royal Conservatoire of the Artesis University College of Antwerp comprises three wellknown art colleges: the Royal Flemish Conservatoire, the Herman Teirlinck Institute and the Higher Institute for Dance. Internationally reputed artists are alumni of these institutions, which continue to provide high-quality education for future artists of the stage. The scope of the education is based upon the European Credit Transfer System: 60 ECTS study points per academic year. This is the equivalent of minimum 1500 and maximum 1800 hours of education and other study activities. The Bachelor (180 ECTS), comprising three academic years, with extensive support for the students. Creativiteit en artisticiteit kunnen enkel ontwikkelen waar plaats is voor communicatie, ontdekking en bewustzijn. De opleiding besteedt zowel aandacht aan de uitvoerings-, als aan de creatieaspecten van de danspraktijk en biedt de mogelijkheid tot individueel bewegingsonderzoek. The Bachelor in Dance (180 ECTS) aims at training talented students to be contemporary dancers, who are prepared to model the art of dancing in the future. They encounter the tradition of the art of dance and are stimulated to follow a creative and artistic path. Creativity and artistry can only develop where there is opportunity for communication, exploration and awareness. The training pays attention to both the performing and creating aspect and offers the possibility for individual exploration into movement. De opleiding drama De academische bachelor (180 studiepunten/ ECTS) en de master (60 studiepunten/ ECTS) in drama wil getalenteerde, creatieve studenten opleiden tot kunstenaars met een grote autonomie en persoonlijkheid, die zichzelf kunnen situeren binnen het huidige internationale socio-culturele en artistieke referentiekader. Kennis van de Nederlandse taal is onontbeerlijk voor het volgen van de lessen en het afleggen van examens. The Academic Bachelor (180 ECTS) and Master (60 ECTS in Dramatic Arts aims at educating talented, creative students to artists with a high degree of autonomy and personality, who can situate themselves within the current international socio-cultural and artistic reference.
