3 Crossroads Act 3 De 3e editie van dit dynamische Crossroads Festival een veilige en een stevige basis voor de toekomst verzekeren is het doel. Onze quickstart werd lichtjes bijgestuurd om daadkrachtig dit succesvol project met groeicapaciteit opnieuw op de rails te zetten. We hebben immers té veel willen doen met té weinig mensen op té korte tijd. Na hertekening van de lijnen konden we de bevoegde minister en commissie overtuigen. De sterke nadruk op de research van de zogenaamde crossovers maakt Crossroads nu eenmaal een uniek festival voor visueel en beeldend theater van de 21ste eeuw. Crossroads bundelt als geen ander theaterfestival het multidisciplinair karakter van de podiumkunsten in één programma! De samenwerking met Het Zuiderpershuis en de! Kunsthumaniora (Betty Braemzaal) creëert een sterke overzichtelijke basis die én een meer bovenlokale uitstraling geeft én de optimale invulling van een internationaal theaterfestival verzekerd. Als organisator ben ik verheugd dat we u dit internationaal programma kunnen voorstellen. Kijkt u vooral uit naar het magisch poëtische theater van het Finse WHS, de niet te missen muzikale hoogmis van Karbido (P) geïnspireerd op het werk van John Cage en alle andere producties die als unieke pareltjes in hun specifieke vorm en verhaal allemaal bijzonder zijn! Ook deze editie brengt dit festival een programma met hoogstaand visueel theater, éénmalige én exclusieve producties én Belgische premières. Wees er (opnieuw) bij dit jaar! Marc Crauwels Crossroads Act 3 La 3ème édition de cette dynamique «Crossroads Festival» nous travaillons surtout pour assurer une base solide pour l avenir. Notre «démarrage rapide» était ajusté pour remettre ce projet réussi avec potentiel de croissance sur la bonne voie. Nous voulons trop avec trop peu de gens dans trop peu de temps. On a retracé les grandes lignes ce qui a convaincu le ministre compétent et la commission. L accent sur la recherche des soi-disant «crossovers» fait de «Crossroads» un festival unique en son genre. «Crossroads» montre comme aucun autre festival de théâtre le caractère multidisciplinaire dans un seul programme! La coopération avec Het Zuiderpershuis et de! Kunsthumaniora (Betty Braemzaal) crée une forte base et assure l interprétation d un festival de théâtre international. Comme organisateur je suis heureux de présenter ce programme international. Attendons avec impatience le théâtre poétique et magique de WHS, la musicale grandmesse de Karbido (P) inspirée par l oeuvre de John Cage et toutes les autres productions uniques et particuliers! Cette édition apporte également des productions uniques et exclusifs et des premières belges de haute qualité. Soyons nombreux (de nouveau) cette année! Marc Crauwels Crossroads Act 3 The goal is to ensure a solid foundation for this 3rd Edition of the dynamic Crossroads Festival for the future Our quick start was slightly adjusted to put this successful project with growth capacity back on the right track. We wanted to do too much with too few people in too short a time. After redrawing the lines we could convince the competent Minister and Commission. The strong emphasis on the research of the so called crossovers makes Crossroads a unique festival for Visual and Movement Theatre of the 21st century. Crossroads shows like no other theatre festival the multidisciplinary character of the performing arts in one program! The cooperation with Het Zuiderpershuis and de!kunsthumaniora (Betty Braemzaal) creates a strong clear base and ensures the favourable interpretation of an international theatre festival. As organizer, I am pleased that we can present this international programme. Look forward to the magical poetic theatre of the Finnish WHS, the not-to-be-missed musical high mass by Karbido (P) inspired by the work of John Cage and all the other unique and particular! 4 Andrea Miltnerova - Tsjechië Dance of the Magnetic Ballerina 40 Minuten - Volwassenen - Visueel/Bewegingstheater Als inwoner van Praag is Andrea Miltnerova omringd door barokke kunst en architectuur. Haar fascinatie voor barokdans, muziek, beeldhouwkunst en architectuur gebruikt ze in een eigentijdse creatieve context. Haar solo Dance of the Magnetic Ballerina fladdert in een minimalistische maar multi-dimensionale ruimte. De collage van het interactieve lichtontwerp en de intensiteit, discipline en symmetrie van haar bewegingen resulteert in een beeldschone persoonlijke getuigenis van een hardnekkige obsessie met beweging. Avec sa création, expressive et techniquement exigeante, Andrea Miltnerova nous transfère dans un autre monde, parfois même bestiale puis purement esthétique. Un voyage dans un monde sous la peau, un voyage ailleurs... A bout de souffle on sent l intensité de l image. Un solo avec un soupçon d un monde Kafkaïen. Andrea Miltnerová hardly moves from the spot and yet she evokes an uplifting experience from the perfection of her movements. 5 WHS / Kalle Nio - Finland Läthö (vertrek) 65 Minuten - Alle publiek - Visueel theater / Magie Dit visueel theater en circusgezelschap verwierf wereldfaam door de innovatieve jongleerstijl van Ville Walo en de enorme expressiviteit van Kalle Nio s mix van audiovisuele kunst en magie. WHS was in 2011 te gast op het International Crossroads Festival met Vanishing Point en trad sindsdien op in meer dan 30 landen. Hun voorstelling Läthö is een unieke theaterervaring waarin circus, magie, dans, kleding design en videokunst samensmelten tot een niet te missen voorstelling over een man en een vrouw in een ingewikkelde relatie. Une femme et un homme entretiennent une relation compliquée. Confus, ils se tiennent sur scène entourés de vêtements. Le spectacle questionne les possibilités de considérer une personne proche comme un étranger et les absurdités et les malentendus dans la relation sont mis en avant. supported by This performance stages a couple that has drifted apart and now floats in the middle of dreamlike imagery and illusions. Les Intouchables - Frankrijk Objet Nature 45 Minuten - Alle publiek - Cirkustheater / Trapeze Pénélope Hausermann startte als mimespeler, ging verder in het dans- en bewegingstheater om later als koorddanseres ook de trapeze te exploreren. Objet Nature is een lichaam opgehangen tussen abstractie en theatraliteit dat uitgebalanceerd door de contragewichten communiceert met de «natuurlijke basis». Deze solo verkent de eenzaamheid van een lichaam op zoek naar een anker nadat de zwaartekracht verdween. This solo explores loneliness, that of a body in its existence, a heavy body on a floating kind. Objet Nature is a bit gothic and mangles the monstrous hallucinatory appearance of a suspended body. The acrobat imposes a fascinating sensual universe about the paradox of gravity force to suck the lightness Objet nature est un dispositif scénique spécifique, un jardin suspendu et mobile, équilibré par des contrepoids, où le corps entre en interaction avec ce «socle nature». 7 KARAVAN ENSEMBLE - Verenigd Koninkrijk Somnambules 60 Minuten - Volwassenen - Visueel/Fysiek theater Als een match made in heaven - dit duo werkte al jaren samen in het fysiek theatergezelschap DEREVO brengen deze 2 performers hun visueel verbluffende werk in een bedwelmende uitvoering. Dit explosieve en buitengewoon prachtig duo creëerde met Somnambules een raadselachtige reis tussen verleden, heden en toekomst. Geniet u vooral van deze lust voor het oog en streling voor het oor. Tanya Khabarova zit als een soort van gekke wetenschapper aan een bureau. Ze plukt Yael Karavan uit het publiek en ze raken verwikkeld in een vloeiend zo bold and beautiful duet dat deze voorstelling uw avond tot een onvergetelijk theaterfeest maakt. 8 MERLIN PUPPET THEATRE - Griekenland Clowns Houses 60 Minuten - Volwassenen - Poppentheater Voor dit gezelschap zijn alle stadia van het productie proces -concept, ontwerp en ontwikkeling van de personages, geluid en verlichting - van principieel belang. Ze transformeren gebruikte materialen en zelfs gerecycleerd afval herleeft via hun magistrale marionetten en poppen. De begaafde poppenspelers, de succesvolle scenografie en de gedetailleerde gezichtsexpressies van de poppen, geven sprankelend de eenzaamheid van de moderne mens weer. In one house, five stories of its residents who have more ease to die than to live, unfold. The brilliant combination of marionette, table puppet, shadow- and object theatre creates an incredible tension that will remain with you long after the show. JAGAT MATA - Spanje La Maleta de Irati 60 Minuten - Familievoorstelling - Mimetheater La Maleta de Irati is een humoristische en multidisciplinaire voorstelling waar mime, dans, acrobatiek, clownerie en maskerspel het publiek onderdompelen in een magische wereld vol verrassingen. Deze fantastische reis voor groot en klein over koffers verenigd met andere objecten wordt door de verschillende disciplines van fysieke theater overvloedig besprenkeld met humor. Deze productie wordt getoond in het kader van het nieuwe europese project Move-Award. Meer info over dit project op : A man and a suitcase. A suitecase that one s opened will unleash Pandora s Box. As time passes the hallucinations increase and wrap the audience in a dream world that, more and more incomprehensible, becomes a fantastic trip over sprinkled with a generous dose of humor! 10 STUDIO MATEJKA - Polen Charmolypi 40 Minuten - Volwassenen - Bewegingstheater / Tekst Het lichaam als een muziekinstrument. Elke beweging is een specifieke muzikale score. Heeft de muziek van de Stilte een Lichaam? Kan dat Lichaam deze muziek belichamen? En zo ja, kan het worden Overgeleverd? Wat kan een (witte) bank zijn? Behalve een bank? Kan deze bank het dromenland zijn, het water, een eiland, de muren van een stad in een bepaalde tijd, het vaderland, de ballingschap? Studio Matejka is een grensoverschrijdend fysiek theater laboratorium en brengt met Charmolypi een uitzonderlijke voorstelling. Should we change our name after some nights as we are not the same anymore? A white sofa, one performer, the music and the costume, for others it s a dangerous minimalism... But why more? When everything that the performer needs to say is inside him/her and on him/her? La seule différence entre le corps mort et le corps vivant est que le premier est exilé de l entrée de temps... 11 KARBIDO - Polen Table around Cage 60 Minuten - Alle publiek - Muzikale performance Vroeg u zich ooit al af hoe een scheermesje op een houten tafel klinkt? Deze unieke show zou wel eens het resultaat kunnen zijn van een weddenschap onder studenten : Natuurlijk kunnen we tafel spelen! De Jazz Rock groep Kardibo brengt met The Table around Cage een schitterend muzikaal project van wereldklasse als ode aan de Amerikaanse componist John Cage. John Cage was een pionier van onbepaaldheid in muziek en niet-standaard gebruik van muziekinstrumenten. Geprezen als een van de leidende figuren van de naoorlogse avant-garde wordt John Cage aanzien als één van de meest invloedrijke Amerikaanse componisten van de 20e eeuw. Kardibo s buitengewoon veelzijdig en muzikaal spektakel The Table around Cage doet je onmiddellijk vergeten dat dit maar een voorstelling is met 4 pokerfaces dressed in black en een houten tafel. Kardibo démonstre de ce qu c est la vraie liberté de l art et de la musique. Pas un seul battement, pas une seule brosse est accidentelle ou chaotique et chaque son produit devient une particule vitale composé par les artistes. We willen hen aanmoedigen -met erg toegankelijke uitkoopsommen en kosten- om te kiezen voor deze boeiende producties uit het hedendaags visueel theater bij de samenstelling van hun programma. Move-A is een internationale dialoog tussen de visuele theatergezelschappen en de programmatoren in het veld en brengt hen samen in een ondersteunend internationaal netwerk. Gebruikmakend van een kwaliteitslabel promoot Move-A elk jaar drie interessante producties van hoge kwaliteit, gecreëerd door nieuwe en/of jonge gezelschappen, door hen te presenteren op belangrijke festivals en theaters over heel Europa. Een artistiek selectiecommitee van professionele vertegenwoordigers uit het Europese werkveld selecteert de voorstellingen éénmaal per jaar. Jonge theatergezelschappen met interesse om het Move-A qualiteits-label te verkrijgen en hierdoor kans maken om geselecteerd te worden voor de Europese tournee, kunnen meer informatie terug vinden op de website van de organisatie. Daar is tevens een eenvoudige online aanvraag procedure voorzien. Van zodra uw aanvraag is toegekomen wordt die -aanvraag per aanvraag- besproken en geëvalueerd door het Move-A selectiecomité. 13 Le Move-Award est un nouveau label de qualité pour le théâtre de mime et le théâtre visuel, l objectif principal du Move-Award est de développer l intérêt du large public pour le genre. Pour atteindre l objectif et pour encourager la programmation des spectacles visuels et du théâtre contemporain on offre aux programmateurs de festivals, de théâtres et de centres culturels un nouveau et pratique tool. Le Move-A lance un dialogue international entre les créateurs du théâtre visuel et les unite dans un réseau européen, plus tard un réseau international. Le Move-Award est défini simplement, un réseau promotionel qui installe un label de qualité, couplé à la Tournée Promotionelle qui presentera chaque année une sélection de 3 spectacles fascinants et prometteurs du genre. Un comité de sélection artistique établie avec les membres des partenaires officiels du project se réunissent régulièrement pour évaluer les demandes des compagnies de théâtre et puis oui ou non d attribuer le label de qualité. En tant que fondateurs de ce projet le Crossroadsfestival Belgique (Europe Centrale) COS - Internationaal Mime Festival - Espagne (Europe du Sud), et le Waves Festival Vordingborg - Le Danemark (Europe du Nord) pourrait accueillir membres associés de l Italie (Arteven), l Ecosse (Manipulate festival) est de Finlande (Black and White festival). Les membres du réseau de la Grèce (Kilkis festival), Macedonie (Pan-Phys festival), Pays-Bas (Theater de Blauwe Kei / Visuals) est le Royaume-Uni (Norwich Puppet Theater). Autres festivals sont en communication pour renforcer ce projet promettant. Les Compagnies de théâtre qui veulent déposer une demande de sélection pour le label de qualité pourront bientôt télécharger le formulaire d inscription. Des que le formulaire d inscription est déposé au secrétariat de l organisation le comité de sélection artistique traitera le fichier. La unique date de sélection annuelle sera communiqué plus tard. Our primary function is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about the genre to wider audiences throughout Europe. To achieve this we provide directors and managers of festivals, theatres and cultural centres across the continent with a user-friendly means to help them make confident programming choices, encouraging them - through competitive company fees and related expenses - to choose exciting productions of contemporary visual theatre for their events and seasons. Move-A is an international dialogue between the creators and programmers of visual theatre and unites them in a supportive international network. Each year, using its Quality-Label, Move-A promotes three exciting, high quality productions created by young companies, through their presentation at important national festivals and venues throughout Europe. Meeting once a year, a selection committee made up of leading arts professionals from across the continent selects these shows. Move-A was founded by: the Crossroadsfestival Belgium (Central Europe), the COS - International Mime Festival Spain (Southern Europe) and the Waves Festival Vordingborg, Denmark (Northern Europe). 14 Tickets. Om de kosten voor de tickets zo laag mogelijk te houden verkozen we de reservaties en verkoop van de tickets in eigen beheer te organiseren. Het online bankieren is zo eenvoudig geworden dat een gewone en vooral kosteloze overschrijving zo gebeurd is. Het verzenden van de tickets nemen we graag voor onze rekening maar nog eenvoudiger is het als U de tickets gewoon voor aanvang van de voorstellingen zélf ophaalt aan onze kassa. Bestelde U meerdere tickets dan krijgt U bij het ophalen van de eerste tickets meteen al uw tickets. Zo hoeft U niet telkens opnieuw langs de kassa aan te schuiven. Ga naar de ticketpagina op onze website en vul het formulier in waar U uw tickets kan bestellen. Stip ook aan of U de tickets ophaalt aan onze kassa of dat U verkiest dat wij ze U opsturen met de post. Lukt het niet online dan kan U telefonisch uw reservatie doorgeven. Wij verwerken uw aanvraag en zenden U per kerende een betalingsformulier. Eens uw overschrijving bij ons is toegekomen, bereiden wij uw omslag voor en leggen hem aan de kassa (of indien gewenst via de post). Nog vragen, geen probleem. Marquer si vous recouperer vos billets à la salle ou que vous préférez l envoie à votre domicile par la poste. En cas de problèmes vous pouvez passez votre réservation par téléphone. Nous traiterons votre demande et nous vous envoyons la facture. Une fois votre paiemant enregistrée vos billets seront disponible à la salle (ou par courrier si souhaité).
