Lancering volgende sat in aug 2011 uitgesteld; begin okt gelukt. Alle nieuwe Glonass sats CDMA ipv FDMA Beter compatible met GPS en Galileo FOC = spare (2012)

17 Gebruikt gecombineerde GPS/Glonass ontvangers in RTK mode. De differentiële stations zenden correcties uit op de fasemetingen van de ontvangers aan boord. Positienauwkeurigheid in de orde van cm/dm en hoge nauwkeurigheid in meting snelheidsvector

20 GPS failures? 1 January 2004 failure of PRN 23. More than 2 hrs malfunctioning without resetting health flag. IALA reported users who had pos errors >45km for GPS stand alone. IALA DGPS service satisfactory 26 Sept 2011 magnetic storm; errors upto 24 meter (near magn equator)

21 GNSS jammers zijn te koop op internet. Even googelen met GPS jammers! Voor circa 50 Euro te koop (bereik 5 meter; te gebruiken bij diefstal van auto s met volgsysteem, of kilometerheffing). Duurdere hebben bereik van tientallen kilometers. Ook schema s voor zelfbouw te vinden op internet Jammen op alle frequenties: CHIRP jammers!

23 Grootste bedreiging voor GNSS is thans de aanvrage bij de FCC voor een frequentieband aansluitend aan de GPS L1 frequentie 1559 MHz, voor het Lightsquared 4G-LTE communicatie systeem ( kW-bakens in US plus satellite, opvolger GSM, GPRS en UMTS)

27 Maritime back-ups (D)GNSS not used as sole means of navigation in strict sense in maritime applications: - visual beacons, buoys - Radar - VTS - Maritime pilots However., navigators often rely on what they see on the ECDIS. (Royal Majesty ran aground 17 miles off course in 1995)

28 In 2020 => op elk tijdstip zo n 40 sats in zicht van GPS, GLONASS, Galileo en Compass! Maar Maak een reisplan (koerslijnen, stroom, wind, VHF, visuele middelen, verdeling wachten). Zet je positie regelmatig in de papieren kaart.. Zorg voor vrij uitzicht van je GNSS antenne Houd je marifoon open op juiste kanaal Houd goed uitzicht (visueel en radar) Pas uitwijkregels toe Volg weerberichten Goede vaart!!!
