2 Advertising Don t Drink and Drive Vision: Most people don t want to drink and drive. But when the time comes to act, they are usually unaware of the dangers because of the state they re in. If people can somehow learn and act on the signs automatically, it hopefully becomes a habit to stop going by car when certain points have been reached. Proposition: When you have reached a certain point of awareness, it s better to call a cab. Concept: Show familiar stages in a typical drinking night at which point you need to call a taxi instead of taking your car back home.

6 Advertising Geendam Municipality Vision: Nowadays everything needs to be bigger and better for people to stay interested. This doesn t always have to be the case. In the small town of Geendam people like the fact that some big-city things have passed them by. If you feel the same way, you re more than welcome to move there. Proposition: In Geendam we don t have the familiar big-city annoyances. Concept: Show Geendam s version of big problems in the busy areas of the country.

10 Advertising Kiosk Geendam Vision: The local magazine kiosk in Geendam at the Dorpsstraat is where the locals get their share of what s happening in the world. It takes them into another world for a brief moment. Proposition: Kiosk Geendam shows you the big world out there. Concept: Show people reading magazines at familiar places, while around them their world has transformed into what they re reading.

15 Net zoals vele andere korpsen in Nederland, heeft ook het district waar Rien van Dam voor verantwoordelijk is problemen in de handhaving van het gezag. Van Dam is al een aantal jaren commissaris en tevens wijkagent in zijn dorp. De criminaliteit in zijn gebied stijgt al jaren gestaag. Vooral kleine ergernissen, zoals vuilnisbakken te vroeg buiten zetten, door rood fietsen (al dan niet zonder licht) en fout parkeren nemen hand over hand toe. Van Dam heeft al een noodkreet richting Den Haag geslaakt. Hij wil meer blauw op straat in zijn gemeente. Voorlopig staat hij er echter nog steeds alleen voor. Hij kan niet overal tegelijk aanwezig zijn en hij moet natuurlijk ook af en toe slapen. Van Dam pleit ook voor meer zuiderlingen in zijn korps. Nu kan hij maar moeilijk contact maken met de familie van onder de rivieren die onlangs in het dorp zijn komen wonen. We liepen een dagje mee met de sterke arm der wet en zagen waar een diender van het gezag allemaal mee wordt geconfronteerd op een doorsnee dag.
