6 Holiday on the farm inspiring partnership» WELTEVREE AND FEATHER DOWN FARM DAYS, THE COMPANY THAT OFFERS UNIQUE FAMILY VACATIONS ON ACTIVE FARMS, STARTED AN INSPIRING PARTNERSHIP. The collaboration arose from our shared love for the great outdoors and the wish to let users experience the feeling of being independent: chopping wood for a fire to cook and heat your home, tent or bath. Back to basics but with a certain luxury: sleeping in a tent on a nice bed, a wood fired but spacious hot tub, fresh air and comfortable chairs. The first result of our collaboration is a collection of 3 new products: the Cookstove, the Fieldchair and the Dutchtub Wood. 17 STORY» Weltevree INdoor DEVELOPMENT STORAGE IN COOPERATION WITH KONINKIJKE TICHELAAR MAKKUM Home is where the stove is WeLteVree: an expert On stoves With 4 Woodstoves in our collection, we can claim to Be a stove specialist. The Stonestove, Cookstove, Tilestove Big and Tilestove Small are not only design classics (museum Boijmans Van Beuningen acquired the Stonestove and Stedelijk Museum the Tilestove Small), but also proved to be highly functional: most Weltevree stoves are high efficiency-stoves and have an efficiency between 83 and 85%. Cooperation may arise from technical expertise or a mutual approach, concept or vision, but is always an added value for the identity of both companies. Our partnership with Royal Tichelaar Makkum for example arose from a shared love for ceramic craftsmanship and a search for new applications. The long-term cooperation resulted in the Tilestoves. We work together with Feather Down Farm Days as a development partner for our new collection because they also encourage their customers to do things themselves, to be in touch with the products around them. Another important contributor to the optimal heat generation of the Stonestove is the ingenious smoke channel: instead of just looping from front to back, this smoke channel splits the smoke in two separate streams and has an extra loop going downwards on both sides of the stove. The hot air emits its heat optimally to the entire concrete surface. Placement and Installation An expert should install the smoke channel and connect it to the Stonestove. The fire burns in the combustion chamber. A horizontally guided airflow heats the plate above the combustion chamber, which can be used for cooking.
