1 GROUNDED ARCHITECTURE The strength of a tree equals the depth of its roots. Our architecture is the same. Zecc works from three ground principles: what we build is functional, sustainable and engages all senses at the same time. Uniting these three principles often seems an impossible assignment. However, this is the core of Zecc s strength. We call it Grounded Architecture. Architecture with a strong foundation. With deep roots. Since these bring forth the most wonderful ideas. The deeper the roots, the higher the vision. HOW DOES ZECC WORKS? We act as our clients consultant. In this respect, we distinguish three elements: programming, constructional engineering and aesthetics. In dialogue with our client or within the construction team, we aim to achieve an integral design that satisfies the project s preconditions. Meticulous communications, and our expertise and experienced consultants guarantee a high quality end product. TARGET We aim to design visually stimulating buildings that exude clarity. An architectural clarity that we combine with subtle nuances. Good organizational programming is just as important as the sensory perception of the building by its end-users. This not only holds true for designs incorporating an associated theme, but also expresses itself in the way we work. Within clearly established boundary conditions set by our clients, and imposed by statutory regulations, we explore the limits and search for deeper insight. SCALE LEVELS We aim at different scale levels. If possible we work on assignments form the urban scale until the complete realisation which is necessary for good constructing and long term use.
