3 VOORWOORD Geachte bezoeker, Welkom op de Intensivistendagen! Voor de 3 e keer vinden de NVIC dagen 2016 weer plaats op de prachtige locatie 1931 in Den Bosch. Gesterkt door de steeds hogere waardering voor dit congres heeft de commissie weer een boeiend en onderhoudend programma voor u samengesteld. Voor een groot deel is dat onderzoek van eigen bodem. Niet eerder werden er zoveel abstracts en proefschriften ingestuurd: het gaat goed met de wetenschap in ons vakgebied en dat verdient natuurlijk een podium binnen onze vereniging. De beste inzendingen zullen weer door een jury worden beloond. Ook dit jaar is er weer een aantal buitenlandse gasten: Kjetil Sunde en Xavier Monnet praten ons bij over respectievelijk temperatuur management en fluid responsiveness. Daarnaast zijn er ook weer de vertrouwde klinische onderdelen zoals de year in review overzichten, de case reports en de workshops. Een prominent verenigingslid zal de NVIC lezing geven. We hopen dat u gaat genieten van dit congres, van de sprekers en natuurlijk ook van de gelegenheid om de collega s weer eens te ontmoeten en bij te praten. Achterin de plenaire zaal, Limousin 2, zijn 4 touch screens geplaatst waarop u gedurende het gehele programma korte posterpresentaties kunt bekijken. Daarnaast vindt er op beide dagen een postersessie plaats waarin de auteurs hun poster, in 5 minuten, aan u zullen presenteren. De kosten bedragen 8,00 per dag en zijn voor eigen rekening. Let op: u heeft geen inrijkaart ontvangen, maar u heeft wel een uitrijkaart nodig. Uitrijkaarten kunt u, per pin, aanschaffen bij de automaat (de automaat staat bij de in/uitgang van het congrescentrum). Daarnaast is een parkeerkaart tegen contante betaling te verkrijgen bij de servicebalie van het congrescentrum (tot uur). Registratiebalie Bij de registratiebalie kunt u uw naambadge ophalen. U kunt hier ook terecht met al uw praktische vragen: de medewerkers helpen u graag! De medewerkers zijn herkenbaar aan het oranje sjaaltje.
