2 Waar ter wereld u ook woont, Philips Pensioenfonds zorgt ervoor dat u uw Philips-pensioen krijgt. Als u in het buitenland woont of naar het buitenland verhuist, is voor u een aantal zaken anders geregeld. Zaken die van belang zijn voor de betaling van uw pensioen. In deze folder leest u hier meer over. Op de laatste pagina vindt u een checklist. Daar staat in het kort wat u precies moet doen. 3 1 De woonplaatsverklaring en Teken van leven 1The Residence certificate and Certificate of life Als u in Nederland woont, krijgen wij gegevens over uw persoonlijke situatie automatisch door via uw gemeente. Als u buiten Nederland woont, ontvangen wij deze gegevens niet automatisch. Op het moment dat u met pensioen gaat en buiten Nederland woont, moet u dat vóór de eerste pensioenbetaling aantonen door het verstrekken van een woonplaatsverklaring. Als u al pensioen ontvangt en u verhuist buiten Nederland, dan vragen wij u ook om een woonplaatsverklaring. Daarna vragen wij u jaarlijks in de maand februari om ons een Teken van leven (attestatie de vita) toe te sturen. U kunt deze documenten opvragen bij: de Nederlandse ambassade; de plaatselijke overheid; de burgerlijke stand van uw woonplaats (gemeente of gemeentelijk bestuur); een notaris. Belangrijk: zorg altijd voor een officiële stempel of verklaring van echtheid. 2De betaling: een eurorekening Philips Pensioenfonds betaalt uw pensioen uit in euro s. Het is daarom belangrijk dat u, indien mogelijk, een zogenoemde eurorekening heeft. Als u geen eurorekening heeft, kan het zijn dat u extra kosten moet betalen aan uw bank. Het is niet in alle landen mogelijk om een eurorekening te openen. Informeer hiernaar bij uw lokale bank. U kunt dan mogelijk in een ander land wel een eurorekening openen. Als uw bankrekeningnummer wijzigt, moet u dit aan Philips Pensioenfonds doorgeven via het formulier Bankrekeningnummer. Dit formulier kunt u downloaden via If you live in the Netherlands, we automatically receive details about your personal situation via the municipal records. If you reside outside the Netherlands, we do not automatically receive this information. If you live outside the Netherlands, then when you retire you must demonstrate that before the first payment of your pension by providing us with a Residence certificate. You are also required to provide such a certificate if you are already receiving a pension and relocate outside the Netherlands. Thereafter we shall ask you in February each year to send us a Certificate of life (Attestatie de vita). You can request these documents from: The Dutch embassy; The local government; The municipal records in your place of residence (municipality or municipal authority); A civil-law notary. Please note: Always check that an official stamp or authentication is provided. 2Payment: a Euro account Philips Pensioenfonds pays your pension in Euros. This is why it is important for you to hold an account denominated in Euros. If you do not have a Euro account, it is possible that you will need to pay extra costs to your bank. Opening a Euro account is not possible in all countries. You can ask about your situation at your local bank. Perhaps you can open a Euro account in a different country. If the number of your bank account changes, you must notify Philips Pensioenfonds using the form Bank Account Number. This form can be downloaded via 3

4 3 3 De belasting: wel of geen loonheffing Taxes: income tax or not 4 Het is mogelijk dat u in Nederland loonheffing moet betalen over uw Philips-pensioen. Loonheffing bestaat uit loonbelasting en premie volksverzekeringen. Bij vertrek naar het buitenland vervalt de premie volksverzekeringen als u niet meer werkt. Of u loonbelasting moet betalen hangt af van het land waarin u woont. Nederland heeft met meerdere landen afspraken gemaakt over de belastingheffing. In verdragen is vastgelegd welk land belasting mag heffen. Vrijstelling loonheffing aanvragen Woont u in een van de landen waarmee afspraken zijn gemaakt, de zogenoemde verdragslanden? Dan kan het zijn dat u in Nederland geen loonheffing hoeft te betalen. U moet dan bij de Belastingdienst een verzoek tot vrijstelling inhouding loonbelasting/premie volksverzekeringen indienen. U voorkomt hiermee dat u dubbel belasting moet betalen: één keer in Nederland en één keer in het land waar u woont. Het aanvraagformulier voor de vrijstelling zit als bijlage bij het informatiepakket dat Philips Pensioenfonds u toestuurt als u met pensioen gaat en buiten Nederland woont. Dit formulier kunt u invullen en ondertekend versturen naar de Belastingdienst. Het adres staat vermeld op het aanvraagformulier. Als u recht heeft op een vrijstelling, stuurt de Belastingdienst de originele vrijstelling naar u en een kopie naar Philips Pensioenfonds. Philips Pensioenfonds houdt dan geen loonheffing (meer) in op uw pensioen. U ontvangt het aanvraagformulier voor vrijstelling opnieuw wanneer u naar een ander land buiten Nederland verhuist. Tip! Wilt u weten of u in een verdragsland woont? Kijk dan op Zoek op overzicht verdragslanden. It is possible that income tax is due in the Netherlands on your Philips pension. Normally, tax withheld from your Dutch income consists of income tax and social security contributions. When going abroad, the social security contributions are no longer due. Depending on the country where you live, you may have to pay income tax in the Netherlands. The Netherlands have concluded agreements with various countries relating to prevention of double taxation, clarifying which country can levy taxes. Requesting exemption from income tax Are you living in one of the countries that the Netherlands made a double taxation arrangement with (the so-called Treaty countries)? Then you may not have to pay income tax in the Netherlands. This is subject to submitting an application to the Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Administration) on a form called Vrijstelling inhouding loonbelasting/ premie volksverzekeringen (Exemption from withholding income tax/social security contributions). This prevents you from having to pay tax in two countries: both in the Netherlands and in your country of residence. The application form for exemption is attached to the information package sent to you by Philips Pensioenfonds when you retire (if you live outside the Netherlands). This form is to be completed, signed and returned to the Belastingdienst. The address is stated on the application form. If you are entitled to exemption, the Belastingdienst will send the original confirmation of exemption to you and a copy to Philips Pensioenfonds. Philips Pensioenfonds will then terminate (or continue to terminate, as the case may be) withholding income tax and social security contributions from your pension. You will receive the application form for exemption again if you relocate to another country outside the Netherlands. Tip! 5 4 De zorgverzekering: uw bijdrage 4Healthcare insurance: your contribution Het is mogelijk dat op uw Philips-pensioen bijdragen worden ingehouden voor de zorgverzekering in Nederland. Dit gebeurt als u in een lidstaat van de Europese Unie (EU), de Europese Economische Ruimte (EER) of een verdragsland woont. Woont u niet in en EU-, EER- of verdragsland? Dan worden bij u geen bijdragen voor de zorgverzekering ingehouden. Wie bepaalt hoeveel u moet betalen? Het Zorginstituut Nederland stelt vast of u recht heeft op medische zorg die in het wettelijke verzekeringspakket van uw woonland zit. U betaalt voor deze zorg een bijdrage aan Nederland. Het Zorginstituut geeft Philips Pensioenfonds dan opdracht om de bijdrage Zvw (Zorgverzekeringswet) buitenland in te houden op het pensioen. Waaruit bestaat de bijdrage Zvw buitenland? De bijdrage Zvw buitenland bestaat uit: een inkomensafhankelijke bijdrage Zvw; een inkomensafhankelijke bijdrage Wlz (Wet langdurige zorg, voorheen AWBZ); een nominale bijdrage. Het is mogelijk dat u de nominale bijdrage zelf rechtstreeks aan het Zorginstituut betaalt of dat deze bijdrage op een andere uitkering dan uw Philips-pensioen wordt ingehouden. Vanaf uw AOW-leeftijd wordt de nominale bijdrage ingehouden op uw AOW-pensioen. Als wij geen bijdragen inhouden op uw Philips-pensioen, hebben wij van het Zorginstituut geen opdracht ontvangen. Voor vragen kunt u bellen met het Zorginstituut: Woonlandfactor De bijdragen worden vermenigvuldigd met de zogenaamde woonlandfactor. Deze woonlandfactor wordt berekend door de gemiddelde zorgkosten in het woonland te delen door de gemiddelde zorgkosten in Nederland. De woonlandfactor wordt toegepast door Philips Pensioenfonds op alle bijdragen voor de zorgverzekering. It is possible that contributions for Dutch healthcare insurance are withheld from your Philips pension. This is the case if you are living in a member state of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or a Treaty country. If you reside in a different country, then no healthcare insurance contributions will be withheld from your pension. Who determines how much you pay? The Zorginstituut Nederland (the Institute, National Health Care Institute) will determine if you are entitled to medical care included in the legally required insurance package of your country of residence. You pay a contribution in the Netherlands for this healthcare. In such cases, the Institute will instruct Philips Pensioenfonds to withhold the contribution for non-residents under the Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw, Health Insurance Act) from your pension. What does this Zvw contribution consist of? The Zvw contribution for non-residents consists of: An income-dependent Zvw contribution; An income-dependent contribution for Wlz (Long-term Care Act, formerly AWBZ); A nominal contribution. It is possible that you will have to pay your nominal contribution directly to the Institute, or that this contribution is withheld from a benefit other than your Philips pension. From the AOW pension age, the nominal contribution is withheld from your AOW (state pension) benefit. If we have not withheld any contribution from your Philips pension, this means that the Institute did not instruct us to do so. If you have any questions relevant to this issue, please contact the Institute at Country of residence factor The contributions are multiplied by a so-called country of residence factor. This country of residence factor is calculated by dividing the average healthcare costs in the country of residence by the average healthcare costs in the Netherlands. Philips Pensioenfonds applies the country of residence factor to all healthcare insurance contributions. 5

6 Inkomensafhankelijke bijdragen 2015 Met ingang van 1 januari 2015 heeft de Wet langdurige zorg (Wlz) de Algemene Wet Bijzondere Ziektekosten (AWBZ) vervangen. De inkomensafhankelijke bijdrage Wlz is 9,65% in Dit percentage wordt vervolgens vermenigvuldigd met de woonlandfactor. De inkomensafhankelijke bijdrage Zvw is 4,85% in 2015 over maximaal De bijdrage is dan maximaal 4,85% x = Ook deze bijdrage wordt vermenigvuldigd met de woonlandfactor. Nominale bijdrage 2015 Als u de AOW-leeftijd nog niet heeft bereikt, wordt op uw pensioen de nominale bijdrage voor de zorgverzekering ingehouden. Deze nominale bijdrage is in ,50 per maand. Als u een partner heeft die is meeverzekerd, wordt de premie 195. Net zoals bij de inkomensafhankelijke bijdragen, wordt ook de nominale bijdrage vermenigvuldigd met de woonlandfactor. Vanaf uw AOW-leeftijd wordt de nominale bijdrage niet meer ingehouden op uw Philips-pensioen, maar op uw AOW-pensioen. Income-dependent contributions 2015 With effect from 1 January 2015 the Exceptional Medical Expenses Act (AWBZ) has been replaced by the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). The incomedependent contribution for Wlz amounts to 9.65% during This percentage is subsequently multiplied by the country of residence factor. During 2015, the income-dependent Zvw contribution amounts to 4.85% on your income, but this is charged only on the first 51,976. This implies that the maximum contribution amounts to 4.85% x 51,976 = 2,520. This contribution is also multiplied by the country of residence factor. Nominal contribution 2015 If you have not reached the AOW pension age, the nominal contribution for healthcare insurance is withheld from your pension. This nominal contribution amounts to per month during In the event that your partner is co-insured on the policy, the premium will amount to 195. Similarly to the income-dependent contributions, the nominal contribution is multiplied by the country of residence factor. From the AOW pension age, the nominal contribution is withheld from your AOW (state pension) benefit rather than from your Philips pension. Tip! Dit kan door een kopie van de overlijdensakte of een rouwkaart te sturen. Your death must be reported to Philips Pensioenfonds in writing by your surviving relatives. This can be done by sending a copy of the Certificate of death or the funeral card.
